Now, the downside of Oxygen. Just like any other WordPress builder tools, Oxygen has its downside and disadvantages too.

  • It has some core features missing as compared to other WordPress builders (example, the undo button)
  • Activating Oxygen means you will deactivate any active themes
  • Oxygen is so lightweight that it might not have some core files found in common WordPress themes
  • Learning curve to use Oxygen Builder is slightly higher than moderate

Oxygen comes with three pricing—Basic ($99), WooCommerce ($149) and Agency ($169). All of these three plans come with lifetime access and unlimited website usage (which is a plus point)

2. Thrive Themes Builder

If you are looking for the top WordPress builders in 2020 based on ranking, you can't go wrong with Beaver Builder.

Blogger's Choice: Thrive Architect vs Divi Theme for WordPress Website Building

This post is designed for bloggers only. If you are a web developer and deciding between Thrive Architect or Divi Theme, click here to read this post instead.

When it comes to Thrive Architect and Divi Theme, which is the best WordPress drag and drop builder for bloggers?

The answer varies depending on individuals — but for me, I still prefer Thrive Architect. But hey, let's give both the fine WordPress tools a chance to showcase their worth, shall we?

Back to Basics: What is Thrive Architect and Divi theme?

Thrive Architect and Divi theme are two WordPress tools that are used by bloggers around the world in building beautiful landing pages, WordPress homepages and blog posts.

While WordPress is the most popular CMS in the market, it requires heavy coding (HTML and CSS skills) to create beautiful websites.

And if anyone talks about Gutenberg, I was having a freaking hard time with it when I was using it two days ago to design my new homepage (check it out here).

Believe me, I was feeling like this (no joke!):

Okay, I got to admit that I am like a spoilt brad thanks to both Thrive Architect and Divi theme.

- Reginald Chan -

Again, I have no issue with Gutenberg but I will NOT recommend it to anyone who are serious in building WordPress pages or content ... because it's freaking confusing!

The Summary: Thrive Architect vs Divi Theme

So, you might be rushing and you are not planning to stay more than 10 minutes in this post (even though I hope you will), scroll below to get the summarized comparison between Thrive Architect and Divi theme.

Conclusion for Thrive Architect:

Thrive Architect is a simple to use, WordPress page builder that allows you to build customized WordPress designs without coding skills. The single biggest advantage using Thrive Architect is that your website will not turn out gibberish when you uninstall or delete Thrive Architect.

Divi Theme

Is this the ultimate WordPress theme and visual page builder?

  • No coding skills required

  • 48 different content elements to choose from

Cons

  • Uninstalling or deleting the theme/plugin will break your WordPress website

  • Not recommended if you are using shared or cheap web hosting (resource heavy)

Conclusion on Divi Theme:

Divi Theme is an interesting WordPress page builder especially for developers. The lifetime plan is great for cost saving, and which is a great choice for agency level and WordPress freelancers. The only downside using Divi Theme compared to Thrive Architect is your website will break if you uninstall or delete Divi Theme.

Question: Why should I use a WordPress builder instead of Gutenberg?

The answer is simple. Gutenberg is buggy and the learning curve is crazily high!

Don't just take my words for it. I recommend you to try either one of these drag and drop WordPress builders, and then compare with Gutenberg.

I'm sure you will see the differences.

Take a look at the infographic below by WebBuildersGuide.com that discusses on the advantages using website builders:

Advantages Using Drag and Drop Website Builders

There is no denial that there are many advantages using website builders for your website (or for your client's).

While I see enormous advantages using Gutenberg in the near future, it is still far from perfect and if you are looking to create the best WordPress design, there are more options compared to Gutenberg.

Thrive Architect vs Divi Theme: Which is the cheaper option?

Pricing is always the most sensitive part for everyone. Let's dive down and see what they have in store for us, shall we?

5.0

Thrive Architect

Thrive Architect is an intuitive drag and drop website builder that is not only easy to use, but highly compatible with bloggers.

  • $67 per website

4.3

Simple pricing structure that is right for both bloggers and website developers. Slight learning curve but it is still one of the most popular plugins around.

  • $89 per year or $249 for lifetime access (one time payment)

  • Unlimited usages

Now, with that being said, Thrive Architect is much cheaper if you are going for year on year basis.

However, if you are using for multiple websites, Divi theme is a much better option due to unlimited usage and lifetime plan.

Types of WordPress Landing Pages

Do you know that there are millions of different combinations you can use when creating a landing page?

When it comes to landing page designs, there is no 'one size fits all' type of concept.'

Each landing page is often designed to 'woo' a specific website visitor. Thus, the best way to determine the best one is through multiple A/B testings.

What is A/B testing?

A/B testing is a randomized experiment with two variants, A and B. In other words, you are experimenting the effectiveness of the layout for two or more landing pages at the same time.

Part 7: How to test a WordPress landing page for effectiveness?

The best way to test a WordPress landing page is through sufficient testing and duration.

Here are the steps:

  • Build at least two different variations of landing pages

  • You should only test two different variations at one time

  • Allow both the pages to run for a period of time (7 to 14 days)

WordPress landing page builders such as Thrive Architect allows you to create multiple variations in just a few clicks. Therefore, no coding skills, no long hours and no more hassle (especially for beginners)!

Summary: WordPress Landing Pages

How To Make Your Landing Page Design Irresistible?

I love building beautiful landing pages — but I hate coding as hell. Being a website owner, I want my landing page to be more than just great. This means that the landing pages must be able to convert readers into subscribers (at the very least).

However, creating landing page irresistible isn't an easy task. As a matter of fact, most WordPress visual builders are still very complicated when it comes to creating great landing pages. You either need to work on your coding or dozens of clicks before you can (finally) create a landing page with the design you wished for!

I have used many visual builders and until yesterday, there isn't any visual builder that allows me to customize my landing page easily without coding skills. And yes, that's until yesterday.

What changed? A new landing page builder?

As much as I want to try a new landing page builder, the answer is "no." This post is not about a new landing page builder. It is the new update from Thrive Architect, my favorite (and go-to) landing page builder for WordPress.

Here's a quick video to explain what's new.

What is Fancy Divider?

Fancy Divider is a powerful tool that allows you to spice up the design of your website (not just your landing page).

Let me show you what it looks like. Normally, a landing page design will look something like this.

basic landing page design

With Thrive Architect's Fancy Divider, you can add more designs to the landing page or element.

Here's an example.

fancy divider review

What just happened?

Basically, Fancy Divider allows you to apply unique 'decorations' and making your elements more interesting to the eyes.

In other words, you can now create mesmerizing elements to increase engagement level and to maintain the interests of your website visitors (without losing them too soon).

Is Fancy Divider right for you?

While Fancy Divider won't work like charm for everyone, I am seeing many reasons why this is a great addon or feature especially when you are designing your page or content.

Thrive Architect's Fancy Divider allows you add more fancy designs in just a few clicks and it is certainly a new feature to try on!
