Landing Page vs HomePage: What are the differences and how to use them effectively?

Defining the needs of Landing Pages and Homepage

This came to mind … more than once to be honest. I was in the midst of recreating my homepage and I was wondering hard.

Should I get a landing page or create a homepage instead?

Believe me.

I took my time to decide which is more than I should.

I decided to go with the homepage setup instead using Thrive Architect.

Of course, this leads us to the main question for today.

Why would anyone need a landing page?

What Is A Landing Page

A landing page does a lot of wonders for you, including:

  • Growing an email list
  • Increase conversion rates
  • Turning leads into paying customers or subscribers
  • Static and dynamic landing page that synchronize with paid advertisements
  • Specific point to drive traffic

Why would anyone need a homepage?

What Is A Homepage

Homepage is very critical for me.

As a speaker and success coach in Malaysia, having a professional homepage is more important than ever.

You might have heard that a good homepage is SEO friendly … which is true.

Homepage is always known as the most important SEO part of a blog. It carries a lot of SEO juice and it has to be configured correctly.

This means that it needs to link to as many internal pages on your blog, along with proper SEO structure.

The truth about homepages

The truth is homepage requires more work to be effective. Firstly, the homepage is where you showcase your blog, your worth and expertise to first time visitors. It also serves as a directory to ensure that your readers can navigate your blog easily.

But here’s a shocking part.

Do you know that landing pages can be used as homepage?

Thanks to drag and drop website builders such as Thrive Architect and Divi, you can easily convert landing pages into homepages in just a few clicks.

If you are using WordPress like I do, it is really easy to setup custom homepage on WordPress.
