Did you know? This blog is created using Thrive Architect! #wordpress #ThriveArchitect
Part 1: What is Thrive Architect?
For me, designing a WordPress page is always messy and I hate it.
I hate it so much that I invested money into various plugins such as this and this. At one point, I even hired web developers to fix my side for a hefty price.
Let me rephrase what I hate doing:
Do you feel me? Does any of the above sounds familiar? I bet they do!
And this is where Thrive Architect saves my life.
I want to begin my Thrive Architect review by saying that Thrive Architect is a powerful WYSIWYG WordPress visual editor that will help you build your page, minus the pain, huge cost and massive time consumption.
This is where it makes all the differences. Thrive Architect makes it really easy for beginners to use it and design a page effortlessly.
Thrive Architect is a visual page builder plugin for WordPress that helps you create great-looking, conversion-focused pages in minutes, not hours.
For those of you who do not work directly with Thrive Themes before, they are bold especially when it comes to speed.
With Thrive Architect, they claim that it's the fastest and most intuitive visual editor for WordPress.
Using Thrive Architect, you can now build unlimited WordPress pages with just drag and drop without messing those pesky shortcodes, CSS and HTML.
Part 2: What can you do with Thrive Architect?
To be honest, there's a lot of thing that can be done using Thrive Architect. I want to make it clear that the new Thrive Architect is the new version of Thrive Content Builder. I didn't do a review for Thrive Content Builder as I felt that it was 'just okay.'
Thrive Architect is whole lot different and therefore, this Thrive Architect review is going to give you a full insight of it's capabilities.
For those of you who used Thrive Content Builder (TCB) before, you know that it is great but still lack a lot of features to make your blog stand out from the crowd. The launch of Thrive Architect is the answer to all your content building worries, once and for all.
Thrive Architect can be used in four main ways:
1. Homepage creation
- Create a homepage by choosing any of the pre-designed templates. If you want to use your current theme, not a problem! You can add different elements to the existing theme without issue.
2. Landing page creation on WordPress
Thrive Architect allows you to build landing pages with the built-in lead generation element that guarantees to multiple your subscribers multiple folds.
3. Blog post creation
Format blog posts using awesome Thrive Architect's features such as content boxes and styled lists. Ultimately, your blog post will look better and stand out from the competitors.
4. Creating sales page, webinar pages, product launch pages and many more
The sky is the limit and you are free to create as many pages as you wish, for whatever reason and whenever you want!
Part 3: How to build WordPress pages using Thrive Architect?
This Thrive Architect review is not complete without telling you how to use the plugin!
The beauty of Thrive Architect is that it comes with two unique ways to build a WordPress page with Thrive Architect.
The first option is using a pre-designed landing page template (highly recommended if you are a complete newbie or just looking for a high conversion theme).
The second option is to start with a blank template. I want to be really honest with you. I ain't an admirer for the blank template because I have a seriously awful designer mindset.
After successfully creating a WordPress page, click on the Edit with Thrive Architect button to start designing your page. Here's how it looks like:
A new tab or window will be visible with more options:
Here's what you need to know. The top of the page is your default header menu and page title. Thrive Architect's features are located on the left side of the page.
Also, do you noticed the file button (on the left of the SAVE button)? You can click on that to select pre-installed templates. Carry on reading below for more information.
Did you know that you can move Thrive Architect menu from left to right?
At this point of time in this Thrive Architect review, I want to stress that Thrive Architect certainly looks promising as one of the best WordPress visual editors in the market.
Part 4: Thrive Architect landing page templates
At this point of writing this Thrive Architect review, there are hundreds of pre-designed (or pre-installed) landing page templates. These templates are available to you immediately after you install Thrive Architect (unlike Divi 3.0 where you would need to upload them manually).
Personally, I find this template gallery useful because I am able to pick one template and move on with designing. For a person who doesn't have much time to spare, this is definitely a huge plus point for anyone considering getting Thrive Architect.
The next part of this Thrive Architect review is to show you the back-end of how Thrive Architect works. Plus, how do you really build a powerful and highly converting WordPress blog.
Part 5: Thrive Architect landing page template sets
Thrive Architect works very differently compared to other Thrive Themes products. More importantly, Thrive Architect is way simpler than any other visual editors in the market!
At this point of writing this Thrive Architect review, this WordPress plugin comes with 26 different sets of landing page.
Wait, hold on for a second! What is the landing page template sets all about?
The landing page template sets on Thrive Architect will help you create content faster and more efficient.
What do you need to know about Thrive Architect landing page template sets?
Before we continue with this Thrive Architect review, allow me to share with you the WordPress visual editors back in those days.
Traditionally, you start either with a pre-installed template or a blank page all together. You need to pick one and start working on your page. Creating additional pages would require you to do the same (cloning the page) to ensure that the elements on the pages are similar to fir your brand's identity.
Can you imagine how much time wasted just for that? This is the reason why Thrive Architect comes with template sets for you to choose from.
Each set of pages are using similar components and elements which is to provide a consistent look and feel for each WordPress page you create.
Here's how it looks for one of the template sets.
For this example, I'm using KnowHow template set for referencing. Clicking on the desired sets will open up a new set of options for you to choose from.
Do you notice that the feel of each set is consistent and similar to the rest?
That's the whole point!
You don't need to have a designer mind to plan the design as you can just use the pre-installed designs to do the job marvelously.
Using similar colour, touch and feel is critical in creating a brand personality.
Clicking on any of the set (I use KnowHow set for this Thrive Architect review) will open up a whole new sets of templates as seen below.
Here, there are 9 pre-installed WordPress landing pages which are consistent with colour and design. Ultimately, this is something you want when it comes to creating WordPress landing pages that converts. Simply by choosing this template set, you will get:
Pretty awesome, right? Before using Thrive Architect, I remember having so many issues trying to copying and duplicating each page to ensure that the look and feel are the same.
With Thrive Architect, this is no longer a problem! Thank you, Lord.
How to customize a pre-installed template using Thrive Architect?
Right after selecting a template, you can start customizing the page using the inbuilt WYSIWYG visual editor.
Customizing each page is similar with the given elements. To start customizing a template, you need to select an element on the page and right after that, an editing option will appear in the sidebar.
Another beauty of using Thrive Architect is the labeling feature which further confirms the element that you are currently editing.
Thrive Architect allows you to do amendments the page in a few clicks to fit in with your style and design. Plus, you can even save the file for future usage.
WYSIWYG visual editor allows you to view the changes immediately and directly on the current screen. You no longer require switching to the preview screen to see the changes (and clearing your cache).
How to customize a blank page using Thrive Architect?
If you are feeling adventurous (or you know exactly what you are doing), starting with a blank page could be a good move.
I want to be really honest in this Thrive Architect review. Building a page from scratch can really be messy but lucky for you, Thrive Architect is here to save the day again!
By default, there are three awesome and powerful design elements you can use when building a WordPress page.
1. The Full-Width Background
Every page builders allow you to create full-width content but how many of them allow you to create the full-width background? Not many, seriously.
Using Thrive Architect, there is an option for stretch to fit screen width. Upon enabling this option, the background image will be adjusted to cover the entire background no matter what WordPress theme you are using.
There is also the Advanced setting where you can change the position of the image.
Thrive Architect is super flexible as you can even create a vertical split layout which allows you to add different content elements.
Note: Split layouts allow you to have image and text, video camera and video screenshot and many other combinations of your choice.
2. Content Box
What is a content box?
A content box serves as an element that has two purposes simultaneously. The first is serving as a content container to store different elements and the second is using it to highlight important parts of the content.
This is how a content box looks like on Thrive Architect's backend:
As you can see, you are free to drag and drop the box in any location of your choice. The beauty of the content box is the feature where you can highlight important content in the box on the go. Take a look at the sentence below below.
This is the best Thrive Architech review!
Do you know that I can do all the above in just ONE content box?
Apart from that, I could even change the look of the content box with just a few clicks.
Yes, this is what makes Thrive Architech such a powerful visual editor. Everything can be done without a single line of code.
Part 6: Creating Testimonials Boxes
If you are not using testimonials on your blog, then you are losing money on the table.
Testimonials are great ways to increase the trust level (hint: social proof) and guess what?
Thrive Architect does it perfectly well!
Here's an important disclaimer. There is only two templates available for testimonial feature but do not be fooled with their capabilities. The functions for both of these templates are endless!
Do you see the box in blue?
Everything in those boxes can be changed and drag around. And this includes the size of the image!
The alignment on the left is an example of what you can do using Thrive Architect. You can change column widths, colors, images, icons, positioning, and more with just a few clicks.
Part 7: How to generate leads using Thrive Architect?
I'm obsessed with lead generation and do you know that Thrive Architect is excellent in achieving results? Carry on reading this Thrive Architect review to learn more!
Ask any marketers or bloggers out there and the most common thing they want is to generate leads. As a matter of fact, who doesn't want to generate leads, right?
Lead generation is one of the most lucrative revenue generating platform in the whole wide world. Period.
As a marketer myself, this Thrive Architect review is not complete if I do not discuss about the lead generation feature. Basically, Thrive Architect '‹has two types of lead generation that you can use on your landing page.
1-step opt-in (single step opt-in)
By default, the single step opt-in is enabled automatically and it is also one of the most popular ones in the market for many.
The single step opt-in allows your fans to become a subscriber without the hassle of reconfirming the subscriber-ship request.
The fun part about using Thrive Architect for lead generation is the ability to drag and drop the Lead Generation module (or element) to any location on the page of your choice.
This is how the element looks like:
Here's where the fun starts. Using Thrive Architect, you can choose to stack the fields vertically or horizontally. Plus, you can change the colour or design in anyway you like.
If you are using the pre-installed Thrive Architect Landing Page templates, the lead generation elements are already in place to grab the best conversion rates.
2-steps opt-in with Thrive Lightbox
By now, you probably have heard about Thrive Lightbox. Make no mistake as this is one Thrive product that helps me create thousands of email subscribers on my blog.
In order to activate or use Thrive Lightbox, you need to:
I know it sounds confusing. Allow me to explain further.
This feature allows you to customize how Thrive Lightbox is activated. For example, you can configure a Button Click to open the Lightbox with a pre-defined effect.
You can set the Lightbox in any page or posts of your choice, and even when you use the Thrive Architect Langing Pages teamplate sets.
Part 8: Integrating email marketing services
Being a reviewer, I have seen many WordPress plugins have issues trying to integrate email marketing services successfully to the plugin. However, it is really surprising to experience first-hand on how easy it is to integrate email marketing services to Thrive Architect.
There are two ways to integrate email marketing services to Thrive Architect:
For easier setup, I highly recommend you to use API connection. Here's a list of the email service providers that Thrive Architect is currently connected to:
And here's what it looks like after you have successfully integrated the email service provider.
Part 9: How to check if your WordPress page is mobile responsive?
The next part of this Thrive Architect review is to discuss on mobile responsiveness when using Thrive Architect.
A website with responsive web design is a site that is able to adapt to the screen it is being used on, regardless of what device it is. The website automatically reformats to give the user a better experience that it well suited to their device, and can give your site a number of benefits as well as being in line with Google recommendations.
Oh no, you are starting to crack your brain and how to make your WordPress posts/pages responsive!
Lucky for you, every thing you built with Thrive Architect is automatically mobile responsive. In today's highly competitive industry, having mobile responsiveness isn't the only thing important.
And that's why Thrive Architect is inbuilt with three additional features that you can use when building a WordPress page.
1. Preview your WordPress page on different screen sizes
This cool feature allows you to check on your page to ensure that it looks good on every device.
Using this feature, you can choose to view the page either on Desktop, Tablet or Mobile mode.
2. Visibility toggling
Any element and content box in Thrive Architect can be tweak to be visible on specific devices. Here's how it is done:
On the Thrive Architect side panel, click on the Responsive tab to drop down a menu as seen above. This feature allows you to display each column, element or box on specific devices.
Pretty cool, right?
3. Tweak and adjust everything
As an avid WordPress user for over a decade, I find it very hard for me to settle on standard WordPress themes. This is also the reason why I use WP Engine (for staging area) and I uses StudioPress (excellent framework).
This blog uses StudioPress framework and posts/pages like this one you are reading now is customized using Thrive Architect.
With Thrive Architect, you can tweak any layout or element based on different display views.
As mobile users are increasing, it is important to ensure that your website looks good no matter device the visitor is using.
Part 10: Conversion elements
Before I end this Thrive Architect review, I want to stress that there are many conversion elements that are built into this plugin. Here is a list of them (and more elements will be implemented soon):
Part 11: Elements to impress your visitors
Thrive Architect comes with a truckload of elements which can impress your visitors and making them come back for more.
More importantly, these elements are going to make your blog looks better and more attractive.
