5 Superfast Tricks To Spot A Fake Make Money Online Guru

"Fake it until you make it" is a powerful saying for many make money guru ... that is not quite there yet. You know, those flashy cars, massive mansions and beautiful girlfriends/boyfriends. So, I'm being real here.

There are too many of them in the online space and most of them are selling you something. Sure, they say these are the exact strategies that helped them to make money—but the fact is that buying those don't guarantee your success (not even close).

But you are certainly helping them to make some money online.

In this post, I'm going to share with you how to spot a fake make money online guru and I hope this article will save you some bucks.

How To Spot A Fake Make Money Online Influencer A Mile Away?

Want to know the simple tricks? Here's the list of them. These are the exact steps I take before buying into any courses or services—just to make sure I am investing on the right track ... you know, people who will help me a long the way.

1. Flashy cars or mansions

Influencers With Sports Cars

Hater are going to hate me, but this is true. Flashy cars and mansions are my biggest no-no.

Both of these can be rented for a day (or a week) at a price. Renting these don't mean that you have a lot of money. It just shows that you have partial of them.

2. Girls and boys

Boyfriend Girlfriend

Do you notice that nearly every single MMO guru or influencers out there always take photos or videos with their partners somewhere close.

Again, sexualism is a strong 'thing' and it is really effective in marketing.

As a matter of fact, I prefer guru's who are real—taking photos with their families, candid shots and other down-to-Earth things.

3. Real Works

Let me be clear. There are many 'so-called' tips about making money online — but there are so less real information about it. Gurus tell you how much they make, not the real work they put in.

So, when you jump into business, you realized that it is hard work (and that's why many people fail in MMO).

"If you are searching for a good make money online guru, follow them on social media. The more they publish real photos of themselves, mistakes they do and their family members, that's what you want. Not flashy cars and other materials."

Reginald Chan

4. Edited Payout

The process of making money online is tough and not many people make it to the top. You will be surprised that there are some gurus who use edited payout screenshots to grow their audience and followers.

Stay safe and be vigilant is an important step to spot a fake make money online guru.

Fake Payouts And Earnings

5. Social Media Followers That Doesn't Make Sense

Zero Engagement In Social Media

Most influencers would have a ton load of social media followers. The easiest way to spot a fake make money online influencer is that each post has very little engagement.

At least, several engagements are better than none.

This is also one of the easiest way to determine if the make money online influencer is likely a fake (or real one).

Website Traffic vs Conversion Rate

Website Traffic vs Conversion Rate

Most bloggers I talk with tell me that they are not generating enough traffic to their website and it is affecting their conversion rate, especially for those doing affiliate marketing and earning money from their blog. It is surprising to say that they actually do not have a web traffic problem—they have conversion rate problem.

And if the above sounds complicated to you, don't be. In this article, I'll share with you more about website traffic vs conversion rate.

What is website traffic?

According to eCommerce giant, BigCommerce, website traffic refers to web users who visit a website. Web traffic is measured in visits, sometimes called "sessions," and is a common way to determine how important the website is or how well the website is ranking on search engines result pages (SERP).

Why is web traffic important?

The more web traffic ones get, the higher the opportunity the website owner could monetize from it. It can be getting better payout rates from Google Adsense or simply, having better chances in making a sales through affiliate marketing.

What is conversion rate?

WordStream defines conversion rate as the percentage of visitors to your website that complete a desired goal (a conversion) out of the total number of visitors. A high conversion rate is indicative of successful marketing and web design: It means people want what you're offering, and they're easily able to get it!

Why is conversion rate important?

Your website may generate hundreds if not thousands of views a day but if you are not good in converting cold visitors into paying customers—then you may have a problem right off the bat.

“Most website owners don't have a traffic problem. Instead, they have a conversion rate problem.”

Sabri Suby, Founder of King Kong

How To Improve Conversion Rate On My Website?

Now that you understand that you need to focus on the conversion part, here's a list of what you can do and should do to improve conversion rate on your website.

1. Read And Analyze Your Analytics

When it comes to analytics, guessing can only take you that far. You need to use analytics tools to help you with taking the right actions. Integrate your website with Google Analytics, Google Search Console and HotJar to understand more on your website visitor's behavior.

2. Understand The Fall Off

A fall off happens when the visitor exits your page, for whatever reason. You want to know why this happens and exactly where it happens on the page. Heatmap tools such as HotJar can give you exact details which is useful in the next step.

3. Improving The Conversion Rate

By now, you know exactly where website visitors are leaving and you need to take action. I recommend you to use lead generation tools or website builders to create unique elements near these areas of fall off to encourage the visitors to take acton. For example, having a call-to-action element or related posts section would make your website audience stay on further. You don't need coding skills for this, just either one of these tools—OptinMonster (lead generation software) or Thrive Architect (builder tool)

The Ultimate Guide In Using Quora To Generate Free Website Traffic

Quora is one of the most popular websites in the world and it is also one of the best to generate free website traffic. In this article, you will find answers on how to generate free traffic to your site using Quora.

Here's what you will discover today with Quora and free website traffic.

What Is Quora?

According to Wikipedia, Quora is an American question-and-answer website where questions are asked, answered, and edited by Internet users, either factually or in the form of opinions.

Here are some fun facts about Quora and why it matters when it comes to generating free website traffic:

  • Quora is part of worldwide 100 most visited websites club
  • Quora gets 620+ million visits every month
  • On average User browse 2 pages per visit and it has a bounce rate of 69%

“Quora is one of the best places to ask questions. You will get many quality answers and just a handful of trolls.”

Reginald Chan

How To Use Quora To Generate Free Website Traffic?

There are several steps you need to do in order to generate free traffic using Quora. Here's how it is done.

1. Build An Interesting Quora Profile

Let's start the guide using Quora by getting the basics right—build a profile on Quora that sounds like human.

Quora works like a social media platform where you can create your own profiles. The best way to do is by building an interesting profile.

For example, having a simple and clear profile will give visitors an idea on who you really are (along with your expertise).

The above is my Quora profile. When a visitor clicks on my profile, this is exactly what they will see.

  • A professional photoshot
  • My name
  • Experience
  • Short description

Instead of some spammy or crappy content, they know that this person is real because I had took the time to update my profile.

2. Display Your Expertise

Quora is all about influencer. If you are starting new, I recommend you to display your expertise. For me, I decided to go with:

  • TEDx Speaker
  • 6-Figure Online Coach
  • Consultant
  • Podcaster

Make no mistake in this part because it is important.

The expertise you had input in your Quora profile will be helpful especially when you are publishing answers in the given niche topic.

3. The RIGHT Way To Answer Questions On Quora (And Generate Traffic)

There are many ways to answer questions on Quora. The best way that I had personally found is by using a fixed format or template.

Here's how my template looks like (from top to bottom of the answer):

  • Intro (short paragraph, around 50 to 100 words)
  • Summary or TL;DR (best when your answer is like 1,000 words long)
  • Video, image or any form of media (you can input several of these if your answer is long)
  • Detailed answer
  • Closing or summary (100 to 200 words with Call-To-Action)

How can this template help me to generate free traffic from Quora?

Quora readers are just like you and me. There are information overload from the Internet and if you are going to go all the way with wall of text, you are going to lose the views.

Great Quora influencers answer questions with long form answers while embedding media to make the answer less boring.

“Focus in creating engaging Quora answers, and you will get more views.”

- Reginald Chan -

4. Pinned Answers On Quora

One of the biggest mistakes done by rookie Quora members is not leveraging Quora Pinned Answers. You can pin one answer to your profile page and this will be visible to everyone who visits your profile page.

This is my favorite Pinned Answer.

The answer that I had provided above has nothing to do with selling any courses or products. Instead, I was merely answering one question that had been lingering in my mind for ages.

And I input the entire journey into the answer. On average, this post gets around 4,500 views per week. That's a lot to be very honest!

5. Don't Write Boring Quora Answers

Answering questions with facts can be boring most of the time. If you want to generate free traffic to your site using Quora, avoid those boring answers.

Instead, spend the time to make the post useful and interesting.

I love sharing links within the post (not my links but authority links such as other guides) and using visuals to make the readers carry on reading.

6. Don't Forget About Call-To-Action (CTA)

Looking for the best guide using Quora? Want to generate free traffic with Quora?

End the answer strong with a powerful call-to-action (CTA). Generally, a CTA can be classified as a click to a website, click to call, click to subscribe etc. For me, I love to link back to my blog posts, email newsletter, free courses and even my other Quora answers.

Do you know that the best CTA is always the one that gives more context to the perks, instead of backlink purposes?

Here are two samples, one which is good and another is bad for CTA.

  • Click this link to learn how to lose 10 pounds in 30 days without taking any medication
  • Click this link to learn more about my fitness courses

"How to lose 10 pounds in 30 days" gives the readers a specific perk and goal while "learn more about my fitness courses" doesn't give any form of assurance.

Thus, the chance of clicking on the first option is higher than the second one.

Anyone can start a blog but it takes effort to generate blog traffic. In this article, we will discuss the most effective ways to promote blogs in 2020.

Social Media Platforms

There is no denial that social media plays an important role when it comes to promote blogs in 2020. There are two important parts when it comes to using social media to promote blogs:

  • Non-paid social media marketing
  • Paid social media marketing

1. Non-paid social media marketing

This strategy involves using Facebook Groups and Facebook Pages to promote your blog post. In order to have this strategy work well, you need to ensure that you are constantly providing value to the community.

The more value you provide, the better the opportunity for you to create a following/trust.

2. Paid social media marketing

On the other hand, paid social media marketing involves using paid advertisements such as Facebook ads and Twitter ads to promote your new blog post.

In order to have this done right, you need to ensure that the blog post offers significant information and knowledge that will help the readers.

When you are generating traffic to your blog, you need to use the right lead generation tools to build an email list. This allows you to reach out to the audience through follow up funnels and emails.

Round Up Posts

Round up posts is a powerful strategy to promote your blog in 2020. This is because most round up posts are participated by many participants. Upon publishing the round up posts, these participants will share the content over with their own audience, allowing you to get ahead in front of the their audience.

When done correctly, you are able to promote your blog and you will see a bump in blog traffic under 14 days.

How to manage a round up post like a professional?

  • Define the topic or interest (find something really intriguing)
  • Set a target of how many influencers you are planning to reach out (I suggest anything below 100 would be a nice one)
  • Set up auto follow ups to ensure that you are reaching out to them at the right time
  • Use spreadsheet to jot down notes, emails and response
  • Set datelines (which is crucial)
  • Inform the participants once the post is live

Repurpose Content

Repurposing content is a great way to promote your blog post. Let's say you have written a great content. Don't just stop there!

Repurpose the content into slides, infographic, videos, podcasts and any other different forms of media to get the needed attention.

Plus, you are also going to reach out to a wider range of audience.

Guest Post

Yes, you read this right. Guest posting is a great way to promote your blog. In today's market, it is getting tougher to get opportunity for free guest posting—but when you do, I want you to give your 200% best.

Powerful tips to become a great guest blogger

  • Create content that the blog readers love (not what you like)
  • Don't submit a 1,000 words content (go beyond 2,000 or 3,000 words)
  • Never promote your blog post(s)
  • Don't focus on building backlinks because you will get a link back in your author profile (most of the time)
  • Help the website to build internal links by linking to older articles

Blog Outreach

If you have a great piece of content, one of the most effective ways to promote your blog is by doing outreach.

What is blog outreach?

Blogger outreach (sometimes called influencer marketing) is when businesses and bloggers combine to create kick-ass promotional content. The business usually provides samples of its products in return for a review or as prizes in a giveaway — sometimes both.

You see, most website owners will not just promote your awesome content simply because you say so (or even if they love the content).

There must be a reason and you need to give them a reason to accept your offer. There are many different types of rewards you can offer to them including:

  • Paying a small fee
  • Link exchange
  • Sharing their posts on social media
  • Sharing their posts on email newsletter

Answering Questions On Quora

Do you know that a huge majority of the influencers and successful Internet marketers (and bloggers) use Quora to promote blogs and generate traffic for free?

Quora might be a boring/lame website. However, this is also one of the best place to display your knowledge and build an audience.

Quora Best Practices

  • Be helpful
  • Courteous is vital
  • Answer the question (directly)
  • Longer answers always outperform the shorter ones
  • Share links to your blogs (but don't over do it)

How Writers Earn a Living in the Age of Blogging?

The digital revolution has been a mixed blessing for the writers among us.

For some, it has been a treasure trove of outlets for self-expression and creative innovation that has levelled the playing field of the journalistic soapbox. It has allowed for new and diverse voices to have their say and grow a dedicated audience. It has completely upheaved the hierarchy of influence and placed the power in the hands of the masses to weave words that have the chance to be seen by millions of eyes each day.

For others, it’s why they’re not getting a paycheck anymore.

Monetisation is a tricky business in the online world. With physical media continuing to be crushed under the weight of this new order, writers have fewer and fewer ways to earn a living wage. However, that doesn’t mean it’s all doom and gloom for those of us with a penchant for the pen. As a matter of fact, many writers have found ways to thrive both creatively and monetarily in this new paradigm.

Whilst writers are likely not going to earn their fortune through blogging, it’s entirely possible to utilise that skill set and receive a hearty sum in the process. So, without further ado, let’s get into some ways in which bloggers can earn a living.

Content Marketing

Alas, whilst it may not be the sexiest of potential payment avenues, content marketing is an incredible way for writers and bloggers to use their services to get paid, with several different avenues for doing so. With that said, the two main revenue sources can be broken down into two categories:

Link Building

For those that have grown a site organically and put a lot of effort into curating a high-quality offering for both Google and your audience, content marketing agencies are often willing to pay a surprising amount of money to post links in your articles. By simply allowing guest submissions for a fee on your site, and promoting yourself to businesses through portals like LinkedIn, you can earn a very decent wage with little to no actual effort on your part.

This can also be a way to get paid whilst still populating your site with fresh content written for you by the company itself. Businesses are often willing to provide the content that they wish to post on your site, and you have the power to accept or reject that content as per your specifications and guidelines. For example, you may be willing to add the link to a client’s website, but only if you’re the one that writes the content. The choice really is up to you.

SEO Copywriting For Agencies and Businesses

If you haven’t necessarily developed that high-metric site quite yet, or you feel that link building isn’t right for your blog, why not become a professional marketing copywriter? As high-quality content becomes more and more of a ranking factor for businesses online, agencies and companies are starting to understand the unquestionable need for professional copywriting experts. This, in turn, has opened a lot more opportunities for those looking to get paid for their writing on a freelance or in-house basis.

Copywriters will often be given a subject to write on, as well as a sizeable brief of information to craft and make their own. It’s not necessarily the right fit for everyone, but if you’re a passionate writer looking to get some experience and funding under your belt, then this is a fantastic way to do just that.

Affiliate Marketing, CPM and PPC Advertising

If the options above require you to interact with other people a little too much, I can respect that, and luckily there are alternatives. Affiliate marketing and PPC advertising are two options that allow you to earn money based on the behaviour of your audience.

Affiliate Marketing - This method involves links being placed within your articles which allow you to get paid, either for each click-through or for each purchase made through them depending on the agreement.

CPM Advertising - A slightly-confusing initialism (CPM stands for Cost-Per-Mille, meaning Cost-Per-1,000 Impressions), this is an ad placed on your site which pays you per-1,000 times it is seen by a reader.

PPC Advertising - PPC (Pay-Per-Click) advertising encapsulates a large portion of the ads you see on websites. In short, they are ads that pay you every time one of your readers clicks them.

Whilst each comes with their drawbacks, namely the potential for annoying your readers if used too egregiously, each is a valuable tool if utilised well. If you do go down this route, it’s important to experiment, as some audiences will be more responsive to one form over another. Whatever you decide, PPC, CPM and affiliate marketing are all viable forms of income for those that have a high amount of traffic going to their website and don’t want to work directly with marketing agencies to create sponsored content.

Being a writer on the internet isn’t the most luxurious of jobs, but it’s also an important one. The internet runs on content, and with more and more people globally going online as their first source for news, information and entertainment, it has never been more vital for good writers to have their voices heard. In other words, your work is appreciated, even if people aren’t paying for it most of the time. Good luck!
