Top 6 Blogging Tips That Helps Building Blog Ranking

Blogging is an ever growing business and what we are to do yesterday, might not be able to work today. Well, like it or not, that’s the reality of life! I often ask myself what are important blogging tips as I managed to grow my blogs at Blogspot (some call it Blogger) with hundreds and thousands of viewers a day.

Lucky for you, the answers are right below. So, let’s dive in now and I hope you enjoy this post! Feel free to contact me if you have any question though.

Hold on! This article has more than 1,800 words! Feeling lazy? Don’t worry mate! I even prepared for you a slideshare PowerPoint just for you!

Important blogging tips: Blogging is all about content

Let’s face it guys. You could probably not go far without content. You may spend thousands of dollars (and time) on marketing and social blasting but without content, you are basically nothing.

Good bloggers maintain their blogs. Great bloggers on the other hand, make blogs even better.

Let’s take a moment and see how famous people do with their blogs:

Darren Rowse from ProBlogger.net. He created great blogs because he had great ideas. He did his own book, and even had writers trying to get into his blogging business. He didn’t started big but he did created a path for himself. Good for you Darren!

Now you see, he didn’t get famous simply by blogging nor he was some great blogging tips like this. He became famous by providing good content and articles to his readers. He started from scratch just like all of us.

Lisa Irby from 2createawebsite.com. I followed her recently and I totally love the way she blogged. She started blogging just with an intention to help out others. She did not ‘˜just blog’ but she did quality blogging. All her blogs are filled with important information on blogging and creating websites.

The above two are pretty clear examples in my books. For those who think that SEO has taken over content in blogs, think twice. You are wrong!

Good content attracts people and that’s what you need to target!

I even wrote how you can boost your blog or website content optimization just by using this SEO tool: Simply The Best Content Optimization Tool for Bloggers.

    Don’t just blog blindly

I don’t know you but I used to blog blindly. I am not sure if this is a very common term but for me, it means creating an article but has very less content. Consider this as quantity over quality.

Yup, you got it right there. Most readers don’t read articles because they want to but the fact is that they need to. Huh?! Let me explain below.

Where comes readers? Websites or articles are usually visited by others because readers (like you and me) need to find for information. If the blog has very less information, you are going to lose potential traffic within the first 10 seconds!

Keep your article or blog as simple as possible but packed with information. Avoid blind blogging anytime of the day if you want to be a successful blogger.

Importance of Search Engine Optimization a.k.a. SEO

Nearly all blogging tips encourage bloggers to focus in SEO
Do you know what SEO really do?

SEO basically means the ability to be ‘˜visible’ in the eyes of the public. Good SEO skills will bring the website to fame. Seriously.

You can’t learn or master SEO, not today and not in the future. So, how can you probably be an SEO expert?!

If you want to be good in SEO, then make sure you understand how SEO works. Most bloggers (and even myself few years back) made the same ol’ mistake. Focusing too much in SEO!

At that time, I thought I could understand SEO and make my website great. Well, I was wrong big time. I came to realized it when I came across an article written by one of the local guys in my country, Malaysia.

That article really struck me like a train hitting me face first. I thought to myself, ‘I made the wrong approach and it took me years to realize it!’. Yes, I wasted probably a few years but I learned from it.

Understanding the SEO concept will actually help you in the blogging career. SEO is needed to create good blogs but it takes more than just that to at the top of search engine result pages.

My tip here is if you are just starting off writing, then focus in your blog contents first. As time passes by, slowly go with SEO approach way.

You can check this article out for more information, Boost Your Website Ranking Using SEO Keywords.

Understand what and how blogging works

One of the best blogging tips I ever learned is blogging is not a one day business. Well, I wish! I am going to admit it, at times, I wish I could start up a blog and make it to the first page of Google. Well, probably in my dreams.

One of the best blogging tips I ever learn is blogging takes time. It is like growing a fruit tree from scratch. Nurturing and taking care of the tree for a few years and then, you might see the tree bearing fruits.

For me, the biggest mistake done by most bloggers is that they assume that blogging is a quick way to make money. Well, you could but chances are pretty slim buddy! Of course, this eBook written by Darren from ProBlogger on how you can earn a six-figure income just from blogging.

I am a very ‘˜karma-person’ and thus, I believe that one can actually make money blogging if they are devoted to help others. From the example way above, both Darren and Lisa are great writers who love to share their ideas.
And, what do they get in return? A pretty smooth sailing blogging career and making money through blogging!

I consider blogging as a full time work where you would need to devote your time and passion into the business. If you want to grow your blog, then ask yourself (first) why you blog. Then work from there with your reason.

    Blogging is not about yourself…literally

This is a little tricky and I will try my best to explain. Blogging is not (everything) about yourself or making money online. You need to help others as well, so to say.

I bet you have came across more than one famous blogging website. Do you notice anything in common? Okay, here’s the hint; guest post.

I am going to repeat myself. Blogging is not everything about yourself. If you want to start a blogging business, you should focus a great deal of time in your website and at the same time, other websites!

Websites are nowhere without some help. Let’s face it guys. If you want to have a website with good traffic, then you need to publish your name to the world.

Instead of publishing 10 great articles on your blog, how about publishing 9 great ones on your site and another one in other blogs? You see, sharing one great article might sounds a lot to you (even to me). But, do you know how much traffic you are going to convert?

Yup, you hear me now and I really hope you do. When I contributed my first guest post, I really thought if that is really a good idea. At times, I thought that was a wrong idea. Thankfully, I was able to stick to my ground long enough to see the traffic growth on my own site.

Important blogging tip here is that when it comes to blogging, it is all about giving back to the community. Sharing is caring and in this case, you are opening your doors to even more possibilities just by sharing ideas with others.

Who knows, you might even have followers dying to write for you instead in return!

    Build your blogging career correctly

Bloggers must be very focused when it comes to building a high traffic blog
Starting a blog on the right track is important to ensure that the blog will be successful

This is probably the best blogging tip I have for you in this blog. If you want to be somebody in this blogging industry, then you need to make sure that you start the right way. And when I mean starting correctly, it doesn’t mean that you should start a blog on a free website.

I know you might be looking for this. So, here are a few places you can start blogging for free:

*p/s If you want to go pro or serious in blogging, you should get a website instead of those free blogging sites.

To start a new website, you need to buy domain name and hosting services. Here are list of recommended companies:

Oh yes, this is the biggest mistake young and experience bloggers make. You may start blogging on a free blog and that doesn’t kill you. However, it is going to affect you in the long run. I know how easy it is to rank well and faster using Blogspot than a website. Now, imagine that you continue your blog for the next 3 years and you grow your audience. Your blog could probably be PR 3 or maybe higher.

I am sure back there somewhere in your brain, you are tempted to have your own brand. Now, moving everything to a new website is easy but building your traffic back? Okay, that is a whole different story.

Don’t get me wrong. You can still make it through without any issue but you are going to waste precious time. It takes months and years to build a brand and it doesn’t come cheap. What I am saying is that if you have plans to develop a blog and probably become a serious blogger, then I would suggest you to get a self hosted domain even from scratch.

Don’t be like me as I wasted a few years with free blogs provided by Blogger and WordPress. I developed my blogs so much that it is a hassle to transfer them over to a self hosted domain. I wasn’t willing to lose the traffic anytime soon and I wish I had started everything with my own website and not with a free blog.

I have to add these useful blogging tips even if there is a gun pointed at my head right now as I type. When you have your own website, you can design it anyway you like. You can publish anything and you are not tied down to any terms and conditions. You are basically the king and the people as well. You can design your website to look anyway you like without having to worry about what others would think (literally).

    Final words

I hope you enjoyed this blog post as much as I had writing it. Pardon me for such a lengthy post though and I truly hope that these blogging tips will serve you well in the future.

W3 Total Cache is one of the world’s most renown cache plugin for WordPress and you are probably finding the best setup guide for WordPress W3 Total Cache right?

Before that, let’s see what W3 Total Cache actually is and how it functions. It provides close to everything you would need to make your website load blazing fast but most of the time, these settings could be very misguiding and complicated for bloggers and even new website developers.

In this guide, I am going to try my best to provide you a step by step guide in setting up your W3 Total Cache. This post is a little lengthy but trust me, it will definitely worth your time especially when you are going to get the best setting for your W3 Total Cache WordPress plugin.

Here’s the slide which I had created thanks to SlideShare (for those who want to avoid reading the wall of text) ~ Enjoy!

Setup guide for WordPress W3 Total Cache

Firstly, head over to the plugin page and search for W3 Total Cache. Very easy and very straight forward right?

Setting up your W3 Total Cache the right way

Plugin cache will help website to load faster.
The famous W3 Total Cache setting tab

    1. You should be able to see a new tab labelled as Performance on the left side of the screen on your WordPress dashboard. Click on that.

    2. Next, you will see the Dashboard for W3TC and this gives you a general outlook of the plugin. You see the option to select General Settings and select that. General Settings works as a master switch for W3TC. You can enable or disable a certain option with just one click of the button.

    3. On the General Settings page, scroll down a little and you will see Page Cache.

    Page Cache: Enable

    Page cache method: Disk: Enhanced

You do not need to press save at the moment. I will explain to you after this on why I rather save later than now.

    4. Scroll down more and you will see the Minify option.

    Minify: Enable

    Minify mode: Manual

    Minify cache method: Disk

    HTML minifier: Default

    JS minifier: JSMin (default)

    CSS minifier: Default

    5. Next is Database Cache option.

    Database Cache: Enable

    Database Cache Method: Disk

    6. Scroll down a little to Object Cache.

    Object Cache: Enable

    Object Cache Method: Disk

    7. To the next option, Browser Cache.

    Browser Cache: Enable

    8. For CDN settings, you may disable it first.

The right setup guide for WordPress W3 Total Cache can boost website loading speed
Setting up W3TC plugin could be time consuming but it will make your website load at blazing speed

    9. Reserve Proxy disable, Cloudflare settings disable, monitoring disable, miscellaneous disable and debug disable all. Now, you may save all your settings. After saving it, W3TC will ask you if you would like to clear the cache which you can select yes. The reason to save once you have done the whole page is to avoid inconvenience. You may save one by one but it is totally a time consuming process.

    10. Select Page Cache on the left of the screen.

You should enable cache front page, cache feeds, cache SSL and don’t cache pages for logged in users.

    Cache Preload: Enable automatic prime

    Update interval: 907

    Page per interval: 7

Sitemap: http://www.yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml (change your domain to your own site name)

Save all settings and you may ignore the rest of the options on that page.

    11. Select Minify button on the left.

Enable rewrite URL structure and for HTML minify settings, select enable, inline CSS minification, inline JS minification and line break removal.

As for JS minify settings, select enable, before (combine), after (minify) and before (combine). Enable preserved comment and line break as well.

As for CSS minify settings, select enable, preserved comment and line break removal.

Go for save all settings again and clear the cache.

    12. Now, select Database Cache button on the left

Enable don’t cache queries and save the setting.

    13. You can exclude Object Cache as nothing needed to change there. Select Browser Cache instead.

Under General, enable everything except do not process 404 errors.

Under CSS & JS, enable all the options there. The only changes you need to do is change the value of expires header lifetime to 31536000 seconds.

Under HTML & XML, enable everything as well.

Under Media & Other Files, enable everything and set the value of expires header lifetime to 31536000 seconds.

Finally, save all settings and clear cache if needed.

    CONGRATULATIONS! YOU ARE ALL DONE!

You can basically forget the rest of the options for now. These settings should serve you well with or without a Content Delivery Network. You will notice your site gets loaded up faster than usual. Remember to clear all the cache at least once to make everything stays for good.

And for the record, I have tested these settings on various websites now and all of them are giving them very good response time. Certainly hope this works well for you as well and good luck.

Navigating the New Chapter Together: Essential Marriage Tips for Newlyweds

Embarking on the journey of marriage comes with a deluge of emotions and experiences. It’s a pivotal chapter in life’s vast novel that can oscillate between delightfully thrilling and unexpectedly challenging. To ensure that the ecstasy of the “I dos” doesn’t dwindle into an anthology of “I don’ts,” Terry Eagan, a seasoned marriage counselor, shares his pearls of wisdom for newlyweds (especially on ways to become a better husband).

    The Foundation of Communication

Communication is not merely a bridge; it’s the lifeblood of a thriving marriage. It is essential to discuss everything from the trifling to the momentous. It’s about creating a haven where you can divulge how the day unfolded or deliberate about financial blueprints. This relentless exchange is a fortifying elixir for your bond.

    Sparking Joy with Date Nights

Routine is the stealthy thief of passion. To stall its encroaching tedium, interject vibrancy into your lives with date nights and impromptu romantic escapades. Stepping out of the work-to-home carousel nurtures your relationship, ensuring that contentment in marriage doesn’t become a fleeting emotion.

Fiscal Harmony: Saving and Investing as a Duo

Money woes can tarnish the sheen of marital bliss. Debt can become a contentious wedge, so it’s imperative to navigate finances judiciously. Together, draw a map that leads to fiscal security, with savings acting as the checkpoints ensuring a future free from the shackles of pecuniary distress.

Dressing Up to Keep the Flame Alive

Appearances aren’t everything, but sprinkling a dash of sophistication into your daily attire for no other reason than to delight your spouse can keep the flame of attraction fervently burning. It’s the nonverbal sonnet that whispers, “You are worth the effort.”

After the Celebration: Facing the Post-Wedding Blues

With the wedding fanfare concluded, a melancholic cloud may loom—the after-wedding blues. It is a customary transition phase where the thrill of the festivities gives way to the rhythm of everyday life. Remember, this period is but a transitory chapter in the saga you’re crafting together.

    Cultivating Individuality in Unity

While marriage is a unity, individuality shouldn’t be its sacrifice. Maintaining a vibrant web of friendship and familial connections breathes life into your own selves and, by extension, into the core of your marriage.

The Pulsating Heart of Marriage: A Healthy Sex Life

A gratifying sexual relationship is key to marital satisfaction. If physical issues arise, it’s prudent to seek medical counsel, ensuring that both partners are fulfilled and content in their physical union.

The Art of Compromise and Exploration

Marriage is a dance of compromise and open-mindedness—an intertwining of differing views meeting in a harmonious cocoon. Exploring life together sews exciting layers into the fabric of your relationship.

Scheduled Intimacy: Allocating Time to Connect

Within the whirlwind of daily life, set aside sacred moments for each other. Be it a shared hobby or a daily coffee rendezvous, these shared slices of time are what nurture and sustain the soul of your partnership.

Mutual Respect: The Crux of Decision Making

Respect is the cornerstone upon which mutual decisions are built. Treat your partner with the reverence you seek, ensuring that every decision is a duet of minds and not a solo act.

    Embracing Adventures New and Old

Even under the marital banner, the zest for adventure should never wane. Whether it’s reliving that initial date or launching into an unscripted escapade, it’s the collection of memories that paints the canvas of your shared existence.

    Setting Expectations: Blueprint of Reality

Dispelling the myth of a flawless marriage by setting realistic expectations is akin to charting a safer course through the matrimonial seas. Voice your boundaries and express when you’re hurt, creating a transparent and authentic union.

Friendship at the Heart of Marriage

Ultimately, your spouse is your confidante, your partner in crime, your best friend. Cherish this camaraderie, as it’s the invisible thread that ties together the tapestry of your marriage.

Candid and Open Communication: Bedrock of Trust

It’s integral to foster an environment where open dialogue thrives. Conflict will ensue; it’s inevitable. But the currency of a lasting marriage is found in how you respond—by listening empathically and engaging in constructive conversations.

    Choosing Compassion Over Resentment

When faced with trials, adopt a lens of compassion. Strive to perceive the world through your partner’s eyes. If understanding eludes you, don’t hesitate to enlist the aid of a therapist or channel your thoughts onto paper.

    Picking Your Battles Wisely

Confrontation must be approached with discretion. Trivial matters are often best released like sand through the fingers, while more substantive issues warrant a conversation. Discernment here is key.

    Celebrate Your Unique Union

The pitfall of comparing your marriage to another’s is a perilous game. Embrace the quirks and singularities that make your bond unique and focus on nurturing those instead of keeping up with marital mirages.

Concluding with a Call to Harmony

In the symphony of marriage, the key takeaway is harmony—harmony in communication, finances, experiences, understanding, and growth. Embrace these tips not as singular notes but as a melody that intertwines its way through your life together.

To the newlyweds stepping onto this vibrant path, may you find joy in the journey and strength in the love that has brought you together. Cherish these insights from expert Terry Eagan and enshrine them in your hearts as you navigate this beautiful odyssey called marriage.

  • 10 Ways to Reinvigorate Your Marriage and Forge a Stronger Bond

10 Ways to Reinvigorate Your Marriage and Forge a Stronger Bond

Marriage is an evolving partnership that requires continuous nurturing and attention. Life’s whirlwind of responsibilities, from work commitments to caring for children and managing social obligations, can lead to challenges that strain this intimate bond. For some, these hurdles result in separation, while others find a path to strengthen their connection. Enriching your marriage is a proactive journey, and here’s a comprehensive look at ten strategies that can infuse vitality and resilience into your relationship.

Embrace Commitment to Weather Life’s Storms

The secret garden of marriage blooms with the seeds of commitment. It is easy during rocky times to wonder if a life beyond the partnership could be more fulfilling. This wandering thought can put your marriage under strain, often without a word spoken. Counter this risk by affirming that divorce is not the answer to your trials. Embracing this mindset can serve as a cornerstone, a foundation upon which you can construct a robust marital edifice.

A more profound commitment directs your efforts toward nurturing and salvaging your union rather than daydreaming about an alternate solo path. Make a conscious decision to focus on reinforcing your marriage’s strengths, which can inevitably preserve your bond.

The Power of Forgiveness in Healing and Growth

The harboring of a grudge is like a hidden wedge driving partners apart. Research indicates that contempt, if allowed to fester, can erode a marriage leading to its dissolution. Aura De Los Santos, a reputable clinical and educational psychologist, emphasizes, “Forgiving is one of the most important and also one of the most difficult things for couples to do. Yet when forgiveness blankets a relationship, it opens a future-focused window, allowing couples to move beyond past grievances.”

Attempt to forgive swiftly. Remember, the act of forgiveness is as much for your peace of mind as it is a balm for your partnership. Grudge-bearing occupies mental real estate and can adversely affect your health and stress levels.

The Importance of Apology: A Stitch in Time

If you’ve erred, offer a sincere apology and seek forgiveness. Listening and empathizing with your partner’s hurt feelings is paramount. Show your intention to improve and evolve. Demonstrating remorse and a willingness to change is not a sign of weakness but rather an assertion of your commitment to the relationship’s health.

Honoring and Respecting Your Ever-Evolving Partner

People evolve, and understanding and adapting to these changes is critical. Begin with acknowledging and listing your partner’s endearing qualities. These reminders rekindle the initial sparks of your union and help reaffirm your admiration. Express gratitude for the little things they do, recognizing that these are the threads that weave the rich tapestry of your shared life.

    Cultivating Clear and Constant Communication

The modern world’s distractions can make meaningful conversations scarce. Open dialogue about your lives, aspirations, and concerns nurtures intimacy. Listening to your spouse is equally important. Dedicate distraction-free time each day for each other. This practice can prevent grudges, which often stem from feelings of being unheard or minimized.

Financial Harmony: Budgeting Balance in Your Bond

Financial discord is prevalent in marital strife. Different monetary backgrounds and expectations can cloud a couple’s financial perspective. Establishing a shared budgeting strategy that includes savings for recreation and unforeseen desires can prevent financial friction. Regular discussions about money can ensure both partners remain on the same financial page.

Finding the Sweet Spot: The Right Amount of Togetherness

Balance in the time spent together and apart is vital. Encourage space for individual pursuits while also creating shared moments that strengthen your bond. Consider at-home date nights or walks in the park when budget or babysitting challenges arise. Prioritize quality time but allow for personal growth and independence.

Rekindling the Flame: Infuse Romance into Routine

The embers of romance can be reinvigorated with gestures reminiscent of your early courtship. Whether it’s dressing up for a date night at home, engaging in physical activities together, or leaving love notes, these actions speak volumes of continued affection.

Mutual Respect: The Antidote to Control

In healthy marriages, control has no place. When partners treat each other with mutual respect and refrain from imposing, the relationship finds its equilibrium. Strive for balance and reject the lure of control, which can lead to emotional distancing and potentially, financial abuse.

Proactive Steps: Securing Assistance When Needed

If challenges persist despite your efforts, seeking professional assistance can offer new perspectives and tools for rebuilding your relationship. Counseling or couples therapy can be a safe space to address issues and strengthen the partnership.

In closing, nurturing a marriage is a proactive and continuous process that requires genuine commitment, communication, and an open heart. Engage with your partner, appreciate their unique qualities, talk openly, and seek common ground financially. Balance time together with individual pursuits, rekindle the flame of romance, and always opt for respect over control. If needed, do not hesitate to reach out for professional help, whether through therapy or counseling. By embracing these ten strategies, you’ll be well on your way to fortifying your marriage, ensuring it thrives for years to come.

If you think you won’t be able to take on-campus classes due to your busy schedule, consider enrolling in an online criminology degree program. This knowledge base will form the cornerstone of your legal practice.

    3. Gain Practical Experience

Now, before you start investing and hiring for your planned firm, gaining practical experience in the field of criminal law is vital. Working in established law firms, government agencies, or in public defense offers invaluable hands-on experience. This exposure to real-world cases, court proceedings, and client interactions is crucial in understanding the practical aspects of criminal law practice. It also helps in building confidence and refining your legal skills.

    4. Build a Strong Network

Networking is a powerful tool in the legal industry. Building a strong professional network with other lawyers, judges, legal experts, and potential mentors can provide significant advantages. Attend legal conferences, join professional associations, and actively participate in legal communities to establish connections. These relationships can lead to referrals, collaborations, and valuable advice, aiding in the growth and reputation of your law firm.

    5. Choose the Right Location

The location of your law firm can significantly impact its success. When choosing a location, consider factors such as the demand for criminal law services in the area, the proximity to courthouses, and accessibility for potential clients. An ideal location is one that is not only convenient for clients but also places you in the heart of legal activity, increasing your firm’s visibility and opportunities for growth.

    6. Develop a Niche Specialty

In the competitive field of criminal law, developing a niche specialty can significantly enhance your firm’s marketability. Specializing in a particular area of criminal law, such as white-collar crime, DUI defense, or juvenile justice, can set your firm apart and establish you as an expert in that domain. This specialization not only helps in attracting specific client groups but also allows for more focused marketing efforts. Additionally, it provides an opportunity for continuous learning and professional development within a specific area of interest, which can be rewarding both intellectually and professionally.

    7. Implement Strong Marketing Strategies

Your business may have everything your clients need, but they need to know that through the right platforms. In the digital age, marketing strategies are essential for any new business, including a criminal law firm. Implement a combination of traditional and digital marketing tactics to reach a broader audience. This includes creating a professional website, engaging in search engine optimization (SEO) to increase online visibility, utilizing social media platforms for brand promotion, and considering content marketing to establish your firm’s expertise. Offline marketing efforts such as networking events, speaking engagements, and community involvement can also help build your firm’s reputation and clientele.

    8. Embrace Technology and Legal Software

Technology plays a crucial role in modern law practices. Embracing legal-specific software and technologies can increase efficiency, streamline case management, and enhance client communication. Invest in case management software for organizing documents, scheduling, and tracking case progress. Additionally, consider tools for legal research, billing, and secure client communication. Staying updated with technological advancements in the legal field can also give your firm a competitive edge.

    9. Prioritize Client Relationships

Building and maintaining strong client relationships is key to the success of your law firm. Personalized attention, clear communication, and a commitment to understanding each client’s unique situation are essential. Ensure that your firm is accessible to clients and maintain transparency in legal processes and billing. Satisfied clients are more likely to return and refer others, making client relationships a vital component of your firm’s growth and reputation.

    10. Stay Informed and Compliant

As a law firm owner, staying informed about changes in criminal law, legal trends, and compliance requirements is essential. Regularly update your knowledge through continuing legal education (CLE), subscribing to legal journals, and participating in legal seminars and workshops. Additionally, ensure that your firm adheres to all legal and ethical standards set by the bar association and other regulatory bodies. Compliance not only protects your firm from legal liabilities but also upholds your reputation in the legal community.

    Conclusion

Starting a criminal law firm requires careful planning and preparation. From crafting a clear business plan to investing in education, gaining practical experience, building a professional network, and choosing the right location, each step is crucial in establishing a successful legal practice.

Moreover, in ventures as critical as law firms, staying informed and compliant is extremely important.
