Of course, that triggered me to update this article because we (SEO marketers) often love comparing keyword tools in search for the best keyword research
Before I get down and serious with this KWFinder review for 2018, I want to tell you that I created this article because I was sick and tired of the Internet. I couldn’t find any relevant KWFinder review that answers my question.
KWFinder comes with a free plan (with limited usages which you can sign up here) or paid plans. I decided to sign up for a paid KWFinder plan as I felt it is the best based on my usage. If you are wondering, I am a SEO consultant and doing keyword research is definitely one of things I do every day.

Step 1: Create a free KWFinder account
Before you can start finding long tail keywords (and ‘magically rank high on Google), you would need to register for KWFinder.
It took me less than 15 seconds to create one.

Upon successful registration, you may be asked to verify your email address prior to being able to use this free keyword research tool.
Step 2: Use seed keywords to start keyword research on KWFinder
Here goes! Enter the seed keyword of your choice in the column and click on the green button, Find Keywords.
If you are looking to rank for local SEO, tweak the location column and language setting for even more accurate keyword research results.
Step 3: KWFinder stats and keyword results
KWFinder is an excellent free keyword finder tool if you know how to use it. Using KWFinder many be tricky as it offers many stats which willaffect the way you choose your keywords to rank.
These are important lingos used in common search engines. Taking time to understand these terms will help you more than just using KWFinder but your overall SEO
Here are terms you will find on KWFinder.
Suggestions. Keywords which are related to your primary keyword.
Trend. Search volume trend in the last 12 months (bar form).
Search. Average monthly search volume in the last 12 months. This stat allows you to gauge the ‘profitability’ of your keyword.
CPC. Average Cost Per Click in Google Adwords. This is how much advertisers pay on average to rank for this keyword.
PPC. Level of competition in PPC in Google Adwords.
KD. Overall Keyword SEO Difficulty. It is calculated asthe average Lunk Profile Strength (LPS) of URLs ranking in the 1st Google SERP. The lower the value, the easier it is for you to rank the content.
Keyword SEO Difficulty. It ranges from 0 to 100. Keywords with the value between 0 to 39 is considered very easy while the value of 40 to 54 is considered possible. Anything above 55 is considered hard and close to impossible.
Google SERP. First page results from GOogle search results page (SERP) for selected keyword. You can click ‘load more’ to load next page search results.
DA. Domain Authority (MOZ) of the URL. This value represents the strength of the selected domain to rank on the first page of Google. The higher the value, the easier it is to rank on Google.
PA. Page Authority (MOZ) of the URL. This value represents the strength of the exact URL in terms of ranking on the first of Google.
MR. MozRank of the URL. This value is provided by MOZ and it is based on a specific calculatation done by Moz to determine the URL ranking power.
Links. The number of external authority-passing Links to the URL. KWFinder calculates the number of authority links that are providing backlink to the page. This is a smart move because anyone can use black hat SEO and blast hundreds or thousands of links to the URL.
FB. The number of Facebook shares for the selected UR
LPS. Overall Link Proile Strength of the URL which is calculated from DA, PA, MR, MT and other metrics. I recommend you to take serious consideration on LPS for each keyword to rank faster on Google.
Est. visits. Rather straight forward, this is the expected visits each URL is getting in a month.

Step 1: Start keyword research using seed keyword

In order to use KWFinder SERPChecker, here’s what you need to do.
On the right side of the screen, you will see several stats, including the top 10 results on Google.
Click on the Analyze SERP button which is found on the bottom right of the screen.

This keyword analysis will provide you a long list (table form) as seen above. Green colour represents easy to rank while red colour shows challenging or close to impossible to rank. The colour changes based on the keyword difficulty score.
Take a closer look on the first three rankings on Google. They have an average of 46 in Domain Authority (DA) score and they are still able to outrank the competitors. This proves that you can outrank the competitions as well through optimizing your blog and improving your content.
Plus, you will notice that the 7th and 8th Google results are taken from Pinterest. Google will only show content from social media if there are very limited quality content on the Internet. Again, this is a sign that this is an easy long tail keyword to rank for.

While keyword research is critical, you have to remember to optimize the content as much as possible to send the right signals to search engines to start crawling your site.
