What is the best best autoresponder for ClickFunnels?
I'm sure you have heard about ClickFunnels and how awesome it is.
Funnels, funnels and more funnels. The never ending sales funnels and testing.
But there's a little challenge.
Not all leads will convert into sales and you want to convince these leads to become your paying customers by sending them timely emails.
I'm sure you know what I mean ...
And this leads us to the main question today: Which is the best auto responder for ClickFunnels?
Lucky for you, ClickFunnels is fully integrate-able with numerous email autoresponders.
Let's dive in right now to find the best email email autoresponder for ClickFunnels 2019 (and beyond).
1. AWeber — The love and hate email autoresponder for Clickfunnels
If you have seen Peng Joon's video on YouTube on ClickFunnels, you know that he don't recommend AWeber at all.
But, why do I recommend AWeber at the first place?
The answer is simple. I use AWeber and have been using it since 2006. AWeber is by far, the best email marketing automation that I had used.
And I don't get shutdown at all ... not even once.
This is not by chance. Not even close.
Why I recommend AWeber?
AWeber is just like any other email marketing solutions in the market. They care for their IP's and if users are constantly sending out too many 'spam' emails, their IP's are going to be blocked by major ISP. As a result, everyone else who is using the IP will experience some level of penalty.
3. Actionetics — The best email autoresponder for Clickfunnels?
Last but not least, Actionetics by ClickFunnels is one of the most used email automation software to work with ClickFunnels.
Firstly, it is developed by ClickFunnels and secondly, it plays well with most niches. Regardless the industry you are in, you can rest assured that you will never be shut down for whatever violation you accidentally did (i mean casino industry, soft spamming, over sending emails etc.).
According to Peng Joon, Actionetics is God send and when I tested Actionetics myself, I was impressed on how easy to integrate it with ClickFunnels.
Actionetics is ClickFunnels' marketing automation platform that seamlessly integrates with your sales funnel to give them dynamic automation actions on the fly.
If you are serious in turning leads into customers through email marketing and hate the messy integration with third part email marketing automation system, you don't have to look any further.
Actionectics by ClickFunnels is definitely the best option for you and is something you should try especially when you are using ClickFunnels.
Summary: Which is the best email autoresponder for ClickFunnels?
I wish there is a much easier answer to this — but sadly, there's none. Each email autoresponder comes with its own advantages.
However, if you are looking for a simple, hassle-free email marketing solution that works well with ClickFunnels, Actionetics is the best option because there is absolutely zero integration required and comes ready to use right out of the box.
Plus, there is no extra feesrequired shall you have a massive, massive email list!

Both AWeber and MailChimp has long been in the email marketing industry. I don't know how blogs and websites had did email marketing comparison between AWeber and MailChimp.
So, why did I publish this article? The answer is simple.

Email marketing continues to be a vital communications channel with the DMAs latest Email tracker showing that email receives 30 times return on investment on average. 95% of respondents rated it as 'important' or 'very important' to their organization.
I don't need an email marketing service that is expensive and full with features. All I need is an email marketing service that is affordable and easy to use — that's why AWeber is my top choice.
If you are just starting out with email marketing or running a small-medium sized business, you certainly doesn't need an expensive email marketing software to get the job done. I know, there are marketing consultants that are asking you to subscribe to email marketing services that cost thousands of dollars a month and trust me, those are not worth it. At least for now.

Top AWeber Feature - Automate your email marketing funnel
Email automation is critical for year 2018. And AWeber implemented this back in 2017.
Now, the system is fully ready and you can start making your email marketing work harder (and smarter) for you.
The single, most important advantage AWeber has is the drag-and-drop email editor allows you to tag your subscribers based on their actions.
AWeber Feature #2 - Craft your best HTML-rich email (without coding skills)
When you use AWeber, the options for email amrketing is endless. You can choose from over 700 ready-made email templates which are HTML ready, craft your own email template using the drag-and-drop editor or even automate email marketing using RSS to email feature.
Using AWeber, you can now keep your email subscribers up to date without touching a single line of code.
Everything (and I mean everything) is done through drag-and-drop. So, you can now focus on creating beautifully designed emails without having to worry about the creation part.
The best part? AWeber email templates are all mobile responsive and therefore, it looks good no matter on mobile, desktop or tablet!
AWeber Feature #3 - Easily collect and email addresses
By default, AWeber comes with a wide range of tools which you can immediately implement to collect emails. Sign up forms can be embedded or added to your website by just copy pasting and if you are using Thrive Leads like me, integration with third party plugins is a breeze.
Have an existing email list? No worries! AWeber allows you to import existing email lists directly to AWeber in just a few clicks. Your email subscribers do not need to opt-in again for the matter. Zero hassle!
MailChimp is famous. MailChimp is good. MailChimp is recommended by nearly every web developer I know in the planet.
I use MailChimp as well. For me, MailChimp is okay, but it is not the best among paid email marketing solutions. For free email marketing services, MailChimp is one of the most popular in the market.
Well, it makes all the sense though. It is free for life — up to 2,000 email subscribers and up to 12,000 emails delivery in a month. What else can you ask for, right?
I use MailChimp for my personal blogs because MailChimp is:
Easy to use
Great option if you have less than 2,000 email subscribers
One of the most intuitive drag-and-drop editor (for email creation)
Low learning curve
When it comes to personal blogs, you don't need a super powerful email marketing solution and MailChimp fits perfectly well into the picture.
Overview of MailChimp Features
Flexible email designs for any industry
Built in analytics to grow your email list
Basic landing page builder
Automated marketing automation
Delivery by time zone (paid feature)
Good email delivery stats
Straightforward segmentation and groups
Top MailChimp Feature - Email marketing automation
MailChimp started rolling out email automation in 2017 for all free accounts. That was a good move to be honest.
What I love about MailChimp is the simplicity of their email marketing automation.
For an email marketing service that doesn't cost you a single cent, there is definitely no complains here.
With MailChimp email automation, you can set and forget those email automation based on your settings:
Email delivery based on dates
Email delivery based on action (open, clicks, etc.)
MailChimp Feature #2 - Email templates
I have to give this to MailChimp. It has one of the best, most intuitive and interactive email templates among most of the email marketing services.
You can start choosing the right templates through a set of layout options.
I recommend you to work with layouts if you love to customize your emails.
What I love about MailChimp is that all its preloaded email templates are mobile responsive (as the image above).
MailChimp Feature #3 - Email delivery rates
MailChimp has one of the best email delivery rates in the market because it is extremely strict. This means that it doesn't allow much affiliate links (or affiliate marketers) in its email delivery. Of course, this is also leads to massive MailChimp disadvantage.
But assuming that you are sending legit emails to your subscribers, you are bound to get awesome reach rates because the delivery is just so darn good.
Now, if you are an affiliate marketer like me, you got to rethink of your strategy right now. If you are just running a blog and sending daily/weekly/monthly newsletters without affiliate links, then that's fine under the MailChimp rules.
How much does MailChimp costs?
It's free — if you have under 2,000 email subscribers and sending less than 12,000 emails a month.
Pretty cool, right?
Here's the pricing structure for MailChimp for paid plans. As you can see, it starts from $10 a month for 500 email subscribers.
Is MailChimp worth it?
The answer is "yes" — if you are not an affiliate marketer. For the free for life account, MailChimp will always be a great option for many bloggers since there is no commitment (ever) until you break the 2,000 email subscribers mark.
In terms of features, MailChimp certainly offers very competitive features and can easily comparable to big brands such as AWeber.
What Are The Differences Between AWeber and MailChimp?
In this part, we will go through some obvious comparison between both email marketing solutions.
1. Pricing structure
Here, MailChimp has the upper hand and won the battle (even before stepping into the 'battlefield').
AWeber offers free 30-days trial while MailChimp offers free-for-life account.
The smallest AWeber plan starts at $19 while MailChimp starts at only $10.
Therefore, MailChimp is definitely the clear winner in terms of value for money.
2. Email automation feature
The clear winner is AWeber because its email automation feature is more roburst compared to MailChimp's.
While MailChimp offers email automation, it is very limited and is not sufficient especially for larger email lists or businesses.
AWeber's email automation wins the match because it makes MailChimp's email automation system look like a youngerster fresh from college.
3. Customer support
In terms of customer support, AWeber wins hands down because it has live chat and email support. In business, customer support is utmost important as every second counts.
MailChimp doesn't offer support for free account (they will refer to to their knowledge base) and for paid accounts, they offer email support. Again, I rather speak to a real person when having a problem than being greeted with an automated support email.
4. Feedbacks and customer testimonials
Last but not least, feedbacks and customer testimonials are important to prove the track record. I could be bias here but AWeber has way more feedbacks and customer testimonials compared to MailChimp.
Personally, I rather work with an email marketing service that has a proven track record of constant delivery and therefore, AWeber is my personal winner here.
There goes, folks! I hope you find this email comparison between AWeber and MailChimp useful and which is your favorite option?

AWeber vs MailChimp - The Best Email Marketing Services
This article about email marketing services is dedicated to my blogger friend, Bren Lee from My Girly Parts who asked me about the differences between MailChimp and AWeber. So Bren, this is for you and hope you liked it.
You have probably heard about 'money is in the list' hundred of times now. If not, you better read this article not once ... but twice.
Did you noticed that there are those newsletter signup boxes on your favorite websites? Yes, now you got the point.
Before that, let's take a quick look on what makes AWeber and MailChimp different using the slide below:
The importance of a mailing list
I am just keeping this short and sweet. You may have tons of traffic coming from search engines and referral traffic. However, do you know how to promote an article which has a super high rate of success?
Let's take an instance that you have 100 subscribers. This means that you have at an average of 90 eager, ready to share and loyal readers who will read your writings. And, you may write something bad and they would probably still say you are good.
Talking from a point of an Internet marketer or emarketer, a mailing list means you are going to promote a products to people who are willing to listen and probably close a sale with them.
It doesn't matter if you're a blogger, copy writer or Internet marketer ... you need a mailing list. I call it ... the black book.
What to look for in an email marketing service provider?
There are many choices you can choose from nowadays which consist of both free and paid ones. As for the record (as of now), I do not have a huge subscribers list like what most bloggers have and I'm still trying to grow my list. If you want to join my list, you can signup here:
I'm a tough customer and it would take me quite a lot of convinces before I actually try on an email marketing service. This are what I am expecting to get:
Easy to use (UI, integration etc)
Anti spam features
Now, let me tell you again. There are many choices when it comes to email marketing software and provider. After several research and reading lots of reviews, I decided to stick my head into both MailChimp and AWeber only. The rest doesn't come close to what I what I want (more on that in a minute).
I got to stress that I realized there are so many marketing tactics used by both the email marketing companies above which, at times is very confusing. I hope this article will give a brighter and clearer explanation of what these are and what they can offer. Most importantly, what you can expect from them.
MailChimp - Send Better Email
MailChimp offers limited email marketing services for free
I'm going to review MailChimp first since I came into contact with it earlier than others. Okay, I admit it ... the word free kinda attracted me. Not only that, with over 100,000 die-hard supporters, I know that MailChimp is definitely a competitor in email marketing solutions.
What I really love about MailChimp?
Clean, clear and fun UI to use
Drag and drop functions
Very direct and not complicated settings and control panels
What I dislike about MailChimp?
Free account offers limited features
Several options could be unlocked only after you completed certain tasks
You can add anyone immediately as subscribers without comfirmation
The first thing that attracted me to MailChimp (besides the bloody 'free') is the user interface. It is basically very simple and is ideal for those who want to build a list fast. You can probably set up an email within 15 minutes. Maybe lesser if you know what you're doing.
I am also tempted with MailChimp's integration module. It's signup form can be integrated easily into nearly any widget and plugins. Yes, a big turn on when it comes to 'bye bye coding work'.
What I really don't like about MailChimp is the fact that some important email marketing features are locked on free account (like A/B testing and auto responder). Of course, you can unlocked them by being more 'active' or doing more tasks before you are able to unlock them.
What I mean is ... give me a break! If you want to offer something, offer them in full.
Example of MailChimp Mailing List which I had done to run my research
Another downside is that fact that you can basically add anyone into your subscriber's list without their confirmation. This is not a good sign as you could easily be labelled as spam. You definitely don't want when it comes to growing your mailing list.
I still love MailChimp and it's simply because it is freemium. The free account offers a maximum of 2,000 subscribers and 12,000 emails (per month). Anything more is all pay per use which is pretty cool for me.
Important note (credits to Adrian Jock): Term and Condition changes on MailChimp which could affects you!
MailChimp has a small clause that disallow specific businesses to use their services.
My verdict: You can grow your mailing list perfectly well with MailChimp. It is definitely a good choice for those who are tight on budget or even on a start up website. Since MailChimp offers a free email marketing service, I believe that it is a great platform to start it ... of course, if you on the 'allowed' list as said by MailChimp.
AWeber - Email Marketing Software and Email Marketing Services
AWeber is one of the most popular paid email marketing provider in the world
AWeber is a great email marketing service and yes, I am using AWeber. Even though I am using it, I will try my best to be as neutral as possible 🙂
AWeber is not free but I'm willing to pay for it? Why?!
What I love about AWeber?
Detailed dashboard (UI)
Many options and features when creating mailing list
Excellent promo ($1 for the first month)
What I dislikes about AWeber?
I moved from MailChimp to AWeber simply because I wanted to try something new. And yes, it was recommended by my blogger friend, Adam Connell from Blogging Wizard. The $1 promo was more than just a deal for me. If I dislike it, I could just cancel the plan. Easy as that!
This is how AWeber looks like on my test newsletter. A complete and detailed reporting tools at your finger tips.
The first impression when I login to AWeber dashboard was "What the hell had I done?". Okay, the UI isn't as clean as what MailChimp is. Just see the screenshots above. AWeber dashboard is ... detailed!
Now, creating an email or auto responder (called as follow up message) in AWeber is no easy job. It's simply because it is highly customizable. There's a slight learning curve for setting up email on AWeber but once that job is done, you are going to rock it real hard!
Hint: check out the two newsletter signup forms on my sidebar. That's what I'm talking about!
Once you have created a signup form, AWeber gives you the special placement ability to either grab the HTML code to place manually on your website, email the code to your web developer and even have AWeber to host the form for you. Pretty cool huh?
Doing A/B testing is also easy using AWeber. You can immediately it do it regardless how many subscribers you have. That makes all the difference when compared to MailChimp.
AWeber doesn't allow you to add any subscribers to your list. You may send an email to invite them to your list and they would need to click on the confirmation link. This is absolutely great since you are also able to detect if they are just spam email or inactive followers. A huge +1 when it comes to spam control.
Talking about spam, AWeber will give you a spam score after you completely editing your email or newsletter. You know ... some words are deem spam. The lower your score, the better the chance the email will avoid the junk box.
Lastly, what I dislike about AWeber is that it has very limited and ready-made templates. Okay, I know customization is the main topic here but for lazy people like me, customizing is time consuming. However, this is something I can live with since I customize all my emails and messages.
