Upon sign up, you will get greeted with a simple dashboard view as below.

Creating an email list in MailChimp is the first step you do. Lucky for you, this is done automatically.
Free MailChimp account only gives you ONE list to work with. By default, you will see it in the Audience tab.
Right below the Weekly Newsletter, you are given an overview of your list. Based on the sample above, it shows that I have a list of 56 contacts and 54 are subscribers. This means that 2 had unsubscribed to my email list.
The Manage Audience lab allows you to add, delete and import subscribers if needed.

Regular. This is a drag and drop builder that allows you to create newsletters. You can use this option to create email drafts to be send out at a later time or drafts for automated email (autoresponder).
Automated. This option allows you to create emails based on automation. The free MailChimp account gives you ONE automation and I recommend you to use this to welcome your new subscribers or send out automated email for perks or courses that you are offering.
Plain text. This option is for you to create an email without any beautiful layout. This is good if you know what you are doing. If done correctly, you can experience a super high reach rates.
You can schedule an email newsletter using MailChimp only after you had completed the email draft. This security feature ensures that you do not send a blank email or a draft email by accident.
To schedule your campaign, here’s how you can do it. Take a look at the image below.
The free MailChimp plan does not allow you to schedule email delivery based on your sender’s location. Therefore, it will be in one batch.
If you are using a premium MailChimp plan, you have more delivery options such as sending in batches (best when you have a large email list) and even sending based on your subscriber’s local time.
