How To Market On Facebook As A Small Business

You have definitely heard about Facebook and the number of people who spend their time there every single day. Well, it means that it is a perfect place to get your marketing done.

However, things are not that simple.

As you have probably expected, even something like social media requires a lot of understanding, especially once you start to put some money into it. Of course, the more time you spend on it and learn, it becomes clearer. And since everybody has to start from somewhere, this article is a perfect place to begin your journey.

Start with the Profile

Every Facebook page needs to have an optimized profile. This becomes even more important when you are running a business. Everyone usually starts with a profile picture and the cover.

After that, be sure to fill in all the blank information on the business page, such as the website, location, working hours, and so on. The more effort you put into it, the more professional everything looks.

Content with Intent

When you start posting, make sure that it is not some random text that makes no sense or serves no purpose. Every single message that you share with your followers needs to have a meaning behind it.

Moreover, there will come a time when you will have to boost these posts with money to reach more people. The sooner you become accustomed to such content, the better.

Insights

Understanding the demographics and whether your fans are truly the ones that would be interested in the business is important.

Luckily, Facebook has its own version of insights, and it provides all the information that the page owner would like.

Taking notes every day is probably overdoing it, but you should at least keep up with what is happening at least every week or so.

Schedule the Posts

Depending on what time you post, you can expect more or less engagement. These things take time to test.

Do not expect to make a conclusion in a week’s time since the difference between posting on weekdays and weekends is also there.

Automation tools are perfect if you want to try a timeframe that would be impossible to check otherwise.

Facebook Stories

Facebook has recently introduced a new feature of stories. It serves as a way to diversify the content and share more trivial things with your followers. Of course, it serves more if you are trying to run a marketing campaign.

It is worth checking out the Facebook Stories: The Complete Guide for Businesses in 2019 on Oberlo’s website. It has all the information every business owner needs.

Encourage Your Audience to Join

This serves two purposes. One is to get a stronger relationship with your followers, and the second one is having a different type of content to post.

The whole thing is pretty simple. Announce that you will share a picture that they take, an article that they will write, a video that they will make, and so on. Such incentives do wonders if you want to stand out from the competition and look more appealing.

Giveaways

No post will have as much engagement and reach as the one which offers something for free. You have probably seen plenty of contests on Facebook where the page asks to share, like, comment, tag, etc.

Some individuals like to exploit it and run fake giveaways, not giving the prize to the winner after the whole thing is over. However, these things tend to reach daylight, and you can forget about having any positive reputation afterward.

Facebook Groups

Another method to diversify your business and expect user-generated content is by creating a Facebook group. It is a place where everyone can share the information, invite others to join, and so on.

The biggest advantage of a group is that organizing a discussion is much easier. Similarly, you should consider creating a subreddit. Reddit is one of the most popular websites on the internet, and while it is not considered social media, it is still a good place to advertise yourself.

Just like any other thing on the internet, Facebook will continue to evolve and change. In order to not fall behind the competition, you need to be at the top of the game. Therefore, make sure that you are up to date with any changes or new features that get implemented.

As things stand right now, Facebook is without a doubt one of the best websites on the internet when it comes to running a marketing campaign. Even if a page might not seem like a direct business technique to regular users, you, who is behind it, should understand the pros and cons of it.

And following these tips makes everything much easier!

How Can You Use Facebook to Market Your Business?

Gone are the days that you had to channel a lot of cash to marketing campaigns. The most unfortunate part is that the return on investment was usually not worth the while. New forms of marketing, more so, digital marketing have saved the day. Businesses are not stuck to the ancient marketing techniques that were not only financially draining, but also did not have good tidings.

Business owners are encouraged to have a presence on at least one social media platform. Facebook being one that hosts most people, provides you the perfect opportunity to market your brand. Here are tips on how you can use it to promote your business.

1. Have a business page

Most people get lazy and rule out the idea of creating a page specifically for their business. Your personal page will not cut it.

A business page has features designed to make your marketing easy. Also, you will have a section where you can share your detailed business information. That is your location, contacts, website, and other relevant information.

Read of the day: Do you know what is the differences between ads manager and business manager?

2. Promote your page

Creating a Facebook business page is not enough. You need to start working. You will be working so hard to create content.

However, you need to note that it will only pay off if people get to see it, and that will not happen until you start promoting your Facebook page.

There are so many ways through which you can approach this. You can invite people to like or follow your page. You can also use Facebook advertising through Facebook Pages.

Also, it will not hurt if you used traditional forms of marketing like business cards to create awareness of your page. Include your Facebook page in your business card alongside your website and email address.

3. Post regularly

The agenda of marketing your business is making it the first thing that crosses the minds of the customers when they come across a product similar to the one that you offer. The trick is to stick in the minds of your audience.

Posting regularly will do the trick. Do it as frequently as you can. At least once in a day. The moment you stop posting, the customers will forget that you exist.

You should, nevertheless, not compromise quality for frequency. Ensure that your posts meet the needs of your audience. In so doing, it won’t be long before they start identifying with your brand.

4. Work with influencers

How To Work With Influencers On Facebook

Influencers are yet another powerful tool that you can use on Facebook to market your business. All you need to do is find an influencer in your niche and create a relationship with them.

This will help you reach bigger audiences and grow your customer base from the influencer’s loyal following.

5. Engage your audience

For successful marketing on any social media platform, you need to humanize your brand. There is no better way to go about it than through engaging your audience. Engaging and interacting with your audience will make understand that your focus is not only on making profits but ensuring that their needs are being met too.

Engaging your audience will give you the opportunity to understand the challenges that your customers are facing. Also, you will find suggestions that will help you better your brand. Do not ignore private messages. Set aside some time to respond to them.

6. Track your performance

Track Facebook Page Performance

There are tools that have been designed to help you monitor the progress of your social media marketing campaigns. A good example is rank tracker tools, which can help you establish how your content ranks against the competition. Is it essential? Well, it is the only way to know if your efforts are paying off or you need to go back to the drawing board.

If done right, marketing your business on Facebook can be rewarding. Employ the tips listed above, and you will have a lot to smile about.

Discovery: Teens Now Are Using Instagram More Than Facebook

Move Over Facebook And Snapchat. Instagram Is Dominating Teen's Life Now

Recent survey had shown that Instagram is the king when it comes to teens. In other words, Instagram is the number one go-to social media platforms for teens.

Piper Jaffray has been tracking how teenagers use the internet for nearly twenty years, and the second report of this year has some interesting findings indeed.

There are some important (shocking) takeaways in the survey conducted:

  • 85 percent of teens report using Instagram at least once a month, up from 79 percent in the fall of 2016
  • 84 percent of teens report using Snapchat at least once a month, up from 80 percent in the fall of 2016
  • Just 36 percent of teens report using Facebook at least once a month, down from 52 percent in the fall of 2016

Now, it is important to understand that the this survey was done back in 2016 and 2017.

We are now in 2019 and take a look around.

Businesses are going to Instagram-able products (with no exceptions for the food and beverages). Social media influencers are using Instagram more than ever ... to grow their target audience and to encourage conversions.

But, Instagram is not alone in the race

Snapchat is still gaining traction especially with 46% of teen's social media usage, followed by Instagram with 32%, Twitter at 6% and Facebook at only 5%.

Here's an important note. There are more teens using Instagram on a daily basis but when it comes to the teen's preferred social media platform, they still prefer Snapchat.

This particular survey revealed the reason behind the seeming disconnect.

Instagram is the social media channel of choice when it comes to brand engagement of teens, with an overwhelming majority of teens preferring to be contacted by brands via Instagram.

Snapchat knows this —and trust me that they are doing everything they can do improve the numbers.

Snapchat is basically a social media platform that allows users to do a lot of cool and short videos ... and they get automatically deleted after a certain amount of time.

On the other hand, Instagram allows teens to publish videos, photos and even auto delete videos/photos (just like Snapchat does). More importantly, the constant updates on Instagram allows it to surpass Snapchat in numerous occasions ... which indirectly allows Instagram to dominate the teen's social media preference.

Snapchat needs to domore

Unless Snapchat makes a major misstep in handling that segment of the demographic, they're unlikely to lose them in the longer term.

Moreimportantly, Snapchat also faces strong competition from Facebook especially with the bastion of older users. In most cases, mom and dad check their Facebook accounts while teens check Instagram.

How can businesses market effectively to teens?

Marketing is all about reaching the right target audience using the right platform.

If you are targeting teens, you should well aware that both Snapchat and Instagrams are going to dominate the market for a long, long time.

If you don't have a robust presence on Instagram and Snapchat (for this matter), then your social media isn't doing as much for you as it could be.

Finally, this leads us to one last question.

What are you doing to make sure you are doing whatever it takes to market successfully to teens?

How To Promote Gambling Website Using Online Marketing In 2019?

How To Promote A Gambling Website Using Online Marketing?

If you are in anyway anti-gambling, this post is not for you. Sorry.

I created this post because this is one of the most common questions asked by many of my clients (yes, I'm a digital marketing consultant).

First of all, promoting a gambling website isn't a bad thing but it is one of the most competitive industry to compete with — especially in the online marketing space.

The way to promote a gambling website is through proper planning and a whole lot of cash to spend on ads (to drive traffic to your website).

Carry on reading below for the best online marketing strategy to promote a gambling website.

1. Traditional online marketing no longer work

Traditional Marketing Promoting Betting Websites

The first step in promoting a gambling website is to understand that gambling is a very sensitive industry.

You need to have laser targeted ads, landing pages and a whole lot of tricks under your sleeves to market a gambling website.

While Facebook and Google Ads do not allow gambling(in many ways), they still allow some level of ads related to this industry. Therefore, the ability to create different types of campaigns will help you to reach a wider audience and reduce the chances of being hit with penalty.

2. Google advertisements for gaming websites

Google Advertising for Promoting Gambling Websites

Promoting a gaming site on Google is the most common strategy used by many website owners.

There is no denial that this strategy works — and while you are expected to pay through your nose for this, the opportunity to market your online gaming website is huge.

First off, Google ads allows you to reach to a wide range of audience (locally and internationally).

And secondly, there are tons of advertisers promoting gambling websites on Google ads.

Important disclaimer

Unlike normal Google ads, advertising on Google requires more than just credit card. There needed to be detailed planning to ensure that your ads is not violating the rules.

3. Facebook advertisements to promote gambling websites

Facebook has over a billion users each day and it is crystal clear that Facebook advertisements is going to reach a wide range of audience.

However, Facebook is not prone to gambling websites. Here's what Facebook says in its policy:

Ads that promote or facilitate online real money gambling, real money games of skill or real money lotteries, including online real money casino, sports books, bingo, or poker, are only allowed with prior written permission. Authorized gambling, games of skill or lottery ads must target people 18 years or older who are in jurisdictions for which permission has been granted.

In other words, advertising a gambling site on Facebook is allowed —  but only to a certain extend.

Step By Step Guide In Creating A Strategic Gambling Marketing Strategy

This is where the juicy parts come in.

If you are looking for ways to promote a gambling website, this is it. Carry on reading below to learn more.

Step 1: Create a plan

The plan involves determine the platform you want to target (for paid advertisement) and the budget you are looking to spend in a day.

You should also decide on the conversion metrics ... which in this case is the engagement or click-through rate.

Step 2: Focus on building a landing page

A landing page is almost as critical as to converting website visitors into customers.

Many casino website owners do this wrongly as they do not focus enough on building an effective landing page.

Why is an effective landing page important when promoting a gambling website?

  • It reduces the overall cost of advertising
  • Ads will be less intrusive and able to reach a wider audience
  • Avoid being penalize by ads platforms

What is the best tool to use to build a landing page? Here are some of the best landing page builder that you should choose from.

Step 3: Optimize the landing page for conversion

Conversion Rate Optimization

Having a landing page is not sufficient — you need to optimize the landing page to focus on conversion.

If you are using tools such as Thrive Architect or ClickFunnels, you are in luck because these landing page builders are designed with conversion in mind.

In other words, these landing page tools have elements inbuilt in them to help you get higher conversion rates.

Here's what a good landing page builder should include in every landing page design.

This landing page infographic is created by Disruptive Advertising.

Step 4: Drive traffic to your landing page

The next step is driving traffic to your landing page. In this case, you should be using paid advertisements to drive traffic ... which is also the fastest way.

Since you are not promoting your casino website directly, configuring the ads to drive traffic to your landing page is much easier.

Here are two of the best advertising platforms you can use to promote your gambling website:

  • Google Ads
  • Facebook Ads

Step 5: Analyze and optimize the advertising campaigns

Last but not least, checking on the stats (from your advertisements) and optimizing the landing page and ads is critical for your marketing success.

On average, you should check on the stats once every week and perform the needed adjustments to ensure that you are getting the best results.

Do you know?

The industry rate for conversion is between 2 to 7%, depending on the industry you are in. Thus, make sure you that you are constantly optimizing the ads and the landing page copy to achieve better results.

Summary: How do you promote a gambling website in 2019?

Thanks to the 'openness' in gambling, casino and betting niches, it is way much easier to promote these websites using paid advertising.

How To Create A Digital Marketing Strategy In 2019?

The Complete Guide In Creating A Digital Marketing Strategy In 2019

If you want to dominate the business or niche in 2019, you need to have a solid digital marketing strategy for your business.

What is a digital marketing strategy?

According to Hubspot, digital marketing strategy is the series of actions that help you achieve your company goals through carefully selected online marketing channels. These channels include paid, earned, and owned media, and can all support a common campaign around a particular line of business.

What makes a digital marketing strategy important?

Digital marketing strategy is important because it helps the company, employees and shareholders get align with the company's missions and visions, through strategic goals.

Instead of trying to generate leads and sales from all platforms, digital marketing strategies provide a proper guideline for everyone in the company that they can focus on.

Now, let's get started with ways to create a digital marketing strategy for 2019 and beyond.

1. Determine the goals

Goal setting is important when it comes to creating a digital marketing strategy.

A few common questions that you can ask yourself are:

  • How can you incorporate digital marketing with your business strategy?
  • What do you want to achieve using digital marketing?
  • Who is going to get involved with digital marketing strategy?
  • What are the intervals you are using to analyze the effectiveness of the marketing strategy?
  • How much budget do you have (or have in mind) for digital marketing?

This is the biggest misconception on digital marketing

Creating social media profiles is free — but not digital marketing. Effective digital marketing strategy involves many moving parts and the 'oil' to ensure everything is moving correctly is by allocating sufficient budget for digital marketing.

Digital marketing is not a magic wand that allows you to achieve wonders in just 30 days. As a matter of fact, it is an ongoing effort to build brand visibility, lead generation and trust on digital platforms before you can finally put sales generation on autopilot.

2. Layout the list of 'weapon' of choice

I'm not asking you to arm your business.

What you need to know is that digital marketing is huge. To be exact, digital marketing is enormous.

There are many platforms that allow you to run your digital marketing strategy. For example:

  • Search engine marketing
  • Search engine optimization
  • Email marketing
  • Content marketing
  • Social media marketing
  • Social media management
  • Influencer marketing

When it comes to digital marketing, there is no one size fits all. Each industry and business is different — thus, you need to work out a solid plan to get it right for you.

If you have limited staffs — focus on just a few platforms of choice. You wouldn't want to drive your team crazy by giving them too much work to do (since digital marketing is very time consuming).

If you have more staffs — engaging with more digital marketing strategy will help leverage the true power of digital marketing, as well as getting wider coverage.

3. Allocating a workable budget for digital marketing

Most business owners I worked with are more than happy to engage with digital marketing. However, they often back down once they see the costs or the investments required to get digital marketing work for them.

Digital marketing is only effective when you have enough budget to run. More importantly, whoever has the most money to acquire a lead wins!

How much money should you allocate for digital marketing?

It varies depending on the type of digital marketing solutions and strategies you have in place.

Typically, I would say a safe bet is anywhere between 2,000 to 3,000 (based on your local currency) per month if you are going outsource. If you are doing in house digital marketing, it should be anywhere between 1,000 to 2,000 (based on your local currency).

4. Analyze and reconcile

Digital marketing is not a magic wand ... where you will get tons of traffic, leads and sales over night.

Instead, digital marketing is a continuous project to help your business with lead generation and revenue.

To get this right, you need to analyze the results from digital marketing to really understand what works and what doesn't.

Analyzing involves data and tracking the response rate you get from your digital marketing efforts. It will give you important information to help you determine the effectiveness of the selected digital marketing efforts.

Business owners should analyze their digital marketing efforts at least once every month while taking the opportunity to make change/tweaks to the marketing strategies.

5. Tweaking digital marketing solutions

Digital marketing is all about tweaking the strategies. A good digital marketing marketer will focus on tweaking the strategies from time to time.

If you are business owner, encourage your team to voice out their crazy ideas. After all, there is no idea not worth mentioning and considering.

If you are a digital marketing consultant like me, don't be afraid to share new ideas with your clients (with some facts and stats).

Things you can tweak:

  • Changing from one platform to another
  • Changing the approach (different content etc.)
  • Use different forms of media instead
  • Increase/reduce the budget for paid advertisement
  • Use different form of paid advertisement (Google ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn ads, Pinterest ads, Instagram ads, etc.)
  • Change/tweak the different type of target audience

There are way more things you can tweak (compared to the above) and the only limit you have is the sky!

6. Seek for digital marketing professionals

Here's the thing.

Facebook, Google, Twitter and LinkedIn make online advertising so easy. But why do most business owners fail when they try doing digital marketing on their own?

Because digital marketing is complicated.

If you ever need help, don't be afraid to seek for help especially from digital marketing consultants. There are many agencies who are providing free quotations and consultations — in which you can take opportunity off!

Even my own digital marketing agency is doing that. Fill up this form and we will get back to you with free consultation!

7. Plan your strategy in advance

Planning Digital Marketing

Last but not least, do you know that you shouldn't jump into digital marketing simply because everyone is doing it?

Digital marketing requires planning — and you need planning to do it right.

This means that you should focus on choosing the right online marketing strategy with the expected date of launch.

This will give you and your team a size-able time to prepare and take sufficient actions to make sure the goals are met.

On average, it take anywhere between one to four weeks to plan a digital marketing strategy for the next quarter. Taking any longer than that means you are either overthinking or simply not focused enough to implement digital marketing into your business strategy.

Summary: Create your digital marketing strategy today

Digital marketing is required and it is important for your business success in 2019.

Get started right now and start planning your digital marketing strategy using these seven tips above.

Can I check who viewed my Instagram profile? The answer is no but read this article to learn how to check who viewed your Instagram stories.
How To Check Who Viewed My Instagram Profile 2019

As an avid Instagrammer, with a public profile, it is common to wonder who might have checked your profile picture (or profile bio).

While many Instagrammers do follow the 'Like and Follow' process, not everyone does the same.

To be honest, there is a huge majority (like me) who prefer checking out the profile without actually following the Instagram account.

This is especially true in case of popular brands. If you're someone who loves NatGeo but don't want to inundate your feed with their photos (they post several times every day) then it makes sense to not follow them and instead visit their profile once in a day (or a week) to browse through their recent posts.

And this brings us to the next question.

How do I track profile visitors who don't care to follow?

Does Instagram let me see who viewed my profile?

Reminder: Protecting yourself from stalkers on social media is crucial. Always aim to stay safe and if you need any help, contact the local police for immediate assistance.

Important: Do you know that one of the best tools to scrape data from Facebook is by using Toolkit for Facebook?

Reality and the hard truth

Can I Check Who Viewed My Instagram Profile

Until date, Instagram does not allow you to know who visited your Instagram account.

At least not now and certainly not an in-app functionality to track your Instagram profile visitors.

Instagram, like Facebook, is tight-lipped about this particular question, for obvious privacy issues.

To put it simply, they have the data but they aren't sharing it with anyone, not even you.

How to see who viewed my Instagram profile?

Can I See Who Viewed My Instagram Profile

If you do a quick search on Google Playstore or iOS store, there are many cool alternatives to help you discover who have checked your Instagram profile.

But does these third party apps work in uncovering who have visited your Instagram profile?

The question of the hour is, do these apps actually work? Nope!

Here's the problem.

Most of these apps are fake and they usually pick random Instagram names and display the same to you.

What's worst is that there are some paid apps which you are required to pay a small amount of money if you want to see more than five names.

Going through user reviews on the Play Store and App Store will paint the same picture.

They pick random names and scramble them up when you check next. Not to mention that an ad will pop up every few minutes.

Want to get verified on Instagram? Here's how!

One Simple Solution: How to check who viewed my Instagram profile?

So, why does these apps are not able to track the profile visitors?

The Instagram API doesn't share such information with third-party apps. While some apps do reveal who unfollowed (or followed) you recently, churning out the name of your profile visitor is asking for too much.

More importantly, once you allow these applications to take a look into your profile, you have no idea how these apps will handle your data.

How To View Who Checked My Instagram Profile Using Instagram Stories

If you are serious in tracking your visitors and checking who viewed your Instagram profile, the now-popular Instagram Stories feature is the best way to do so, since the stories posted by public accounts are accessible to almost everyone (unless they are blocked from viewing it).

So here goes.

The first step is to swipe up on your Instagram story (any of your stories) like this.

Swipe Up Instagram Stories To See Who Viewd Your Instagram Profile

Next, click on the eyeball icon and the list of people who visited your story will be nicely displayed.

Note: This includes users who aren't following your Instagram account.

How To Block People On Instagram Stories

Now here's a little (or major) challenge.

This method still doesn't show you who viewed your Instagram profile as it only shows you who had viewed your Instagram story.

And if this sounds creepy (like someone who you don't know is constantly stalking you on Instagram), then hit the block button to instant block them.

If you are on Instagram ...

Can I see who viewed my Instagram profile?

I highly recommend you to block them from all your social media channels and not only on Instagram. Plus, seeking help is also highly recommended.

Too many people viewing your Instagram stories?

You can opt to switch to a private account if you wish to keep your private data private.

Manually checking the Instagram Stories on a daily basis could be annoying. However, that's the only way, at least for now.

So, coming back to the question ....

Sadly, the answer is "No" for now.

There is no process in place which would let you see the names of your profile visitors.

More importantly, Instagram is planning to keep them a secret for privacy reasons.

I hope you find this quick trick in finding who viewed your Instagram stories useful (and as a powerful alternative to who viewed my Instagram profile).
